Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

Do I need a DECKED Drawer System for this?

Yes. Piecekeeper PuzzleFoam is an insert for the full-size (vX) DECKED Drawer System. It is cut to that drawer's footprint and it has nothing to sit in without one. It is not a universal foam sheet and it will not work loose in a truck bed.

How many layers do I get, and are there braces?

Three layers of friction-fit puzzle foam plus one brace. The brace pieces fill out the drawer so the foam block stays square when the drawer slides.

What happens if I pull out the wrong pieces?

Push them back in. That is the entire point of the design. The pieces are friction-fit on a grid, not cut or glued, so a wrong pocket costs you nothing and you can rebuild the whole layout as often as you like.

Is this the same as the D-co case PuzzleFoam?

No. This is Piecekeeper PuzzleFoam for DECKED Drawer System drawers. DECKED also sells a PuzzleFoam insert for its D-co cases, which is a different size and a different product. They are not interchangeable.

Can I use it for tools rather than firearms?

Yes. DECKED markets it around bows and firearms because those are the shapes generic organizers handle worst, but the foam does not know what you put in it. Torque wrenches, optics, cameras, survey gear and test equipment all work the same way.

Which size do I need?

This is the full-size standard version. PuzzleFoam is sized to the drawer, which follows your drawer system size rather than your truck's model name. Confirm whether you have the full-size (vX) or midsize (vY) system and whether it is the long or short drawer before ordering.
