Do I need a DECKED Drawer System to use it?

No. It works in any vehicle, bed or trunk. If you do have a current-generation DECKED Drawer System the case nests in a drawer, and it hangs on the DECKED Tool Box access rail with 6" of clearance underneath. It does not fit Legacy Drawer Systems.

Is the jump pack strong enough for a diesel truck?

It is a 4000A peak unit, which covers most gas and light diesel engines. DECKED does not publish an engine displacement limit, so on a large diesel treat it as a get-you-going tool rather than a guaranteed start in deep cold, and keep the pack charged.

Are the LED road discs better than traditional flares?

For most drivers, yes. They are reusable, they do not burn, they do not go out in wind or rain, and they pack flat in the case. Traditional flares still win on raw brightness at long distance in fog.
