The UWS 34" trailer tongue box turns the dead triangle of space on the front of a trailer into 2.9ft³ of locking storage, which is where the straps, chains, binders and the spare tail light bulb should live rather than sliding around the deck. The V-shaped tub is cut to sit down onto the tongue and is compatible with most straight-tongue and A-frame trailers, including boat trailers. It is 34.75" long at the back, tapering to 20" at the point, 17" wide and 13" tall. The lid uses the patented RigidCore foam-filled core and self-opens, it locks with stainless steel paddle handles, and the tub has integrated tool organization moulded in. Finished in bright aluminum. Two keys are in the carton; U-bolts are not included.

Fit guidance: This is a universal-fit box rather than a trailer-specific kit, so measure your tongue before ordering. The box is 34.75" long at the back, narrows to 20" at the point and is 17" wide and 13" tall. The V has to sit down over your tongue rails, so check the angle of your A-frame as well as the length available between the coupler and the trailer deck. Leave the jack, the coupler handle and the safety chains free to operate. Hardware is not included; UWS recommends at least two square 3/8" U-bolts with nuts and washers.

Mounting hardware is not included, because tongue sizes vary too much for one kit to fit. UWS recommends a minimum of two square 3/8" U-bolts with nuts and washers, sized to your tongue rail. Set the box on the tongue, check the coupler, the jack and the safety chains all still operate freely, then drill from the underside so any burr is on the outside of the box. UWS is explicit that a tool box is not a place for flammables or hazardous material, so no fuel cans, solvents, propane or cutting torches. Never load past the vehicle manufacturer's rated capacity.

Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.

I really like this mat. I was apprehensive at first but, the mat does a great job of keeping things from sliding around without having to secure it. perfect fit. But i think i will be adding some short screws to secure the mat to the DECKED system.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.
