The DECKED Tool Box is a full-size crossbed truck tool box molded from glass-fiber reinforced SMC composite, which is how it gets steel-like strength without steel's two failure modes: it does not dent and it cannot rust. This DTB2-TAN is the Fender Dirt version, DECKED's flat earth-tone tan, sized for nearly every full-size pickup built from 2001 to today at 71.7" wide across the bed rails, with a 288 L tub that swallows full-length gear while leaving usable bed space below.

The lid carries a 300 lb payload rating and opens with one hand on gas struts; the tub is rated to 800 lb of cargo. Integrated gaskets and molded drainage channels seal the interior against rain, snow and the car wash, and UV inhibitors keep the Fender Dirt finish from chalking out in the sun. A stainless armored locking system with two keys secures the lot. It is built in Defiance, Ohio, and covered by DECKED's limited lifetime warranty.

Features

No Rust, Dents or Fading
The tub and lid are compression-molded from glass-fiber reinforced SMC composite. It shrugs off the impacts that dent diamond-plate aluminum, it cannot corrode, and UV inhibitors in the resin keep the Fender Dirt finish from fading.

300 lb Lid, 800 lb Tub
The lid is rated to carry 300 lb, so cargo can ride on top of the box, and the tub carries 800 lb of tools and gear inside its 288 L capacity.

Fully Weatherproof
Integrated lid gaskets seal against rain, snow and pressure washing, and molded drainage channels route water away from the hinges instead of into your tools.

One-Hand Opening
Gas struts lift the lid with one hand and hold it open while you dig with both. No propping, no slamming.

Armored Locking
A stainless-armored lock set with two keys secures the lid at both ends, and the low-profile latches sit flush so nothing snags.

Installation

DECKED covers the Tool Box with its Limited Lifetime Warranty, which the company calls the No BS Warranty: the original purchaser is covered against defects in material and workmanship for the expected lifetime of the product, with DECKED choosing repair, replacement, refund or credit. Registration is offered but is not required for coverage. Note that installing the box in a vehicle outside its intended fitment voids the coverage, which is one more reason to check the fit table above.
