Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Only the Toyota Tundra, 2022 and newer, and only if your bed was built with the factory utility side rail tracks. This Fender Dirt Tundra version ships with stainless brackets that bolt into those tracks. It does not fit a 2022 or newer Tundra without the tracks, it does not fit a 2021 or older Tundra, and it does not fit any other make of truck.
Look along the top inside edge of each bed side wall. Trucks with the system have a slotted rail running most of the bed length with sliding cleats or tie-down pucks in it, which Toyota markets as the Deck Rail System. If your bed walls are smooth along that edge with only fixed corner hooks, your truck does not have the tracks and this version will not mount.
Order the standard DTB2 version. It is the same box in the same three colors and it clamps across the bed rails of nearly every full-size truck built from 2001 to today, provided the inside distance between the bed rails measures 61.375" to 70.5". The two versions differ only in how they attach to the truck.
Fender Dirt is DECKED's flat earth-tone tan, closer to a desert or coyote brown than to a beige. It is molded into the SMC rather than painted on, so the color runs through the material and a scratch does not expose a different color underneath. It is the same tan DECKED uses on its D-co cases, so a tan box and tan cases match.
The lid is rated to 300 lb and the tub to 800 lb, with 288 L of internal volume, so cargo can ride on the closed lid while the tub is loaded, within your Tundra's own payload rating. Integrated lid gaskets and molded drainage channels seal the tub against rain, snow and car washes, and DECKED's own soak test is embedded on this page.
This is the current-generation SMC Tool Box with the 300 lb lid and 800 lb tub ratings. It is a different product from DECKED's earlier Legacy Tool Box, and Legacy accessories such as the Legacy snack tray and Legacy ladder do not fit it.

Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.
The toolbox is nice. I think Ill get a lot of years of service out of it. I like how the lid opens and the tie downs are a nice touch. It seems to be well built. And tough. Im pleased with my purchase and would buy another one.

I work for a roofing company and use my truck to haul materials and dumpsters and I keep all the extra materials in my box. Keeps everything dry, secured and organized. Installation was easy.
I got the new deck toolbox for my 2020 Chevrolet 3500 long bed and absolutely love. It looks great in the truck, very well built, strong& sturdy tons of space easy to install just all around great product. Plus, you cant beat American built. Im a decked customer for life now.

i was a little worried about ordering a composite tool box without seeing it in person first. Product arrived and will have to say i was extremely surprised in the quality and durability. Took me most of the afternoon to install by myself but well worth it. Ordered the tool box and cargo glide with a couple of six packers and a half rack. Loaded up and ready to go. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN DECKED PRODUCTS
Absolutely love it. Lid doesn't flex when closing. Lock and push pad work smoothly. Included rubber mounting pads make it rock solid and inside liners over the mounting hardware really show how much though went into this box. Awesome to be able to position the Halfrack 32 so I can access it without getting in the bed. I have all the emergency roadside gear stored in the Halfrack and really like that I can get to it easily. Overall, this is definitely the best toolbox I have owned. There is one thing that I would change to keep the Halfrack in position (it tends to slide around when cornering) but still easy to slide out of the way to access the space below. I am 3D printing a small tab to mount on the Halfrack handle so that it applies a gentle lateral pressure on the box and locks it in place. Having the 2nd gen drawer system previously this was a no-brainer. The build quality of Decked storage systems is second to none. This box is built like a brick shithouse and has worked out perfectly for my job. Capacity, ease of use, and security plus customer service that has been amazing in my experience with them.
Love it! Wish it would have come with an extra toolbox tray. You can tell the solid built construction and attention to detail. Makes my truck look better and upgraded. Definitely helped me clear out my back seat! I still haven't got it completely filled with the tools that need to go in it, but I will without a doubt just need an extra tray for hand tools. Great product and I would highly recommend DECKED to anyone.

The Decked toolbox is a great addition to any truck! I use the D-boxes and Cross boxes from my legacy drawer system in another truck to easily transfer tools and equipment between trucks.
Good product so far but showed up without install kit or instructions. Might be a good idea to put d-rings on before actually setting the tool box in the bed.
Can never have enough tools to carry around with you.
I was going to purchase another Weatherguard, but decided to go with the Decked Instead and I am glad I did so far! Time will tell but I believe this is the tool box to have!
This toolbox is literally unlike any other truck toolbox. Its super durable! Very easy to open! Simple install for my Tundra. Absolutely LOVE
Great material and function. Installation was easy but definitely use two people. I tried on my own and it was a PITA, So I ended up getting help. From day 1, when I press the "open" button it will not open on its own, I need to push the lid up to get it started. Sort of annoying when my hands are full.

Really good truck toolbox. The only thing I dislike is youre not able to install a bed cover with this box. Like other boxes youre able to still install a cover. Would be awesome if decked would come out with a cover that is compatible with this toolbox.

Not only does the truck toolbox hold everything I could possibly need it is extremely waterproof! I mean nothing that you put inside this toolbox will get wet! Seriously it actually keeps your tools and whatever else nice and dry inside. It looks great as well. No more rusty truck beds and damage to your truck if you ever remove it. Definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a truck toolbox that is actually weatherproof.
The box may not rust but it will corrode. The lock will freeze and then its up to the trusty drill and screw driver to gain access to the goodies inside. Of course the no longer having a lock but having broken parts stuck inside the place where a lock goes takes stars away. Better materials would most likely help.
Easy to install, spacious interiors, low profile, good look, well made. Only issue hard to open basically have to palm punch the lock to release lid. That gets annoying. Might be my box only. I was hoping Ill loosen up after a while but not the case. I will recommend this box. Looks great when you are trying to keep your truck simple and slick looking.
I had this toolbox on three different trucks now. I got to say it nice and light to switch from truck to truck. And no rust is nice. Nice and big. I have never had a problem with it even in Minnesota winters. Only issue is the handle get bad after a year. I am on my second set of handle and I am about do for another set. Once the handles start to peel the protective coating off the button stick. Some day I like to try the drawer set up.
I purchased about two years ago with the side ladder (passenger side) and found that I only used it twice so I removed it. I do like the box but found when removing the box, the box had cracked on the ladder side. I repaired the crack and reinforced the body at the crack with a couple of tie straps (metal) so it wouldn't fail again. Not sure why the box cracked but I think it was due to the ladder. The box is nice and I would purchase again but minus the ladder. It functions well and I have never had anything get damaged due to getting wet, locks well and has plenty of storage for all I need even carry a box of Def. I now have a bracket for 2 propane tanks and 2 gas cans secured to the box (no weight carry stress on the box) as all sit in bed of the truck.
Seems reasonably sturdy, will built, low profile, and generally a good look. It only took a few moments to engineer a piece of angle aluminum and some expanding foam weather stripping, to create a ledge for a short tonneau cover to connect to. The Decked website talks about this, but reads like chatGPT on acid. You can ignore that, it's totally doable, and easy.

My decked tool box is awesome. It is easy to open and close with hinges doing the work for you. The d box and snack tray that came with it are my favorite features. Allowing for handy access to chosen items. My only issue is if shut from side by using a handle the other side may not latch and properly lock. The tool box still cannot be opened because one side is still locked holding it shut. I just found that shutting it firmly is required to get both sides to latch. Honestly this tool box is a 4.8/5 because of that issue. Just cannot give it a five because that means it's perfect and it's not.
For the most part an awesome product. There are two minor things that I have to mention. The first one is that the lid does not completely close from one side of the vehicle unless you really slam it down (even that doesn't work all the time). You have to make sure each side latches by either being in the bed of the truck to push on both sides or closing from one side and then walking around to the other to make sure it latches. I tested this before and after the installation and it was the same installed as it was sitting on the garage floor. The second item is the D-Box compatibility. The one they include with the tool box is great and I have no issues with that. The problem is they advertise that if you don't get the ladder, you can fit another D-Box. This is true but there is not a good place for it to go. The included D-Box has 4 lugs to sit on and provide a stable location. The add
