Release the rear EZ-Lock clamps at the tailgate end and fold the cover forward toward the cab. That opens about two-thirds of the bed. Secure the folded cover with both buckle straps before you drive. For a load that needs the whole bed, release the front Jaw-Grip clamps too and lift the cover off, no tools needed.
It is designed to. The tarp is a marine-grade, moisture-resistant vinyl and the snap-on triple-fin seals block seepage along the bed rails, at the bulkhead and at the tailgate. Like any soft cover it is weather-resistant rather than watertight, so keep anything that cannot get damp in a bag or bin. Clear snow and ice off the top before you fold it open.
No. The Trifecta 2.0 clamps to the inside of the bed rails with Jaw-Grip clamps at the front and EZ-Lock clamps at the rear, both tightened by hand. Extang rates the job Level 1 and puts it at under an hour. The hardware and an install sheet come in the box. Trucks such as the Ridgeline, Gladiator and newer Ranger use their own supplemental sheet.
Silicone is the thing to avoid. Anything with silicone in it, Armor All included, pulls the moisture out of the vinyl and it cracks. Extang lists that as a warranty exclusion. For routine cleaning use soap and water or Extang's own Tonno Tonic, the cleaner it has tested and approved for this vinyl.
Yes, as long as you order the right version. Extang makes the Trifecta 2.0 in separate part numbers for beds with RamBox side storage, Utili-track, deck rails, a cargo management system or a CarbonPro bed, plus versions for beds without those features. Choose the matching option in the fitment selector. The RamBox version assumes the factory silver cargo rails are fitted.
No. The Trifecta 2.0 is a soft cover and Extang publishes no weight capacity for the top. Extang's warranty is void if cargo pushes up against the tarp or panels, since a shifting load stresses the fabric. Keep tall items below the rail line or fold the cover open and buckle it before you drive. Extang also says not to tow the truck from the rear with the cover on.

We purchased an Extang Trifecta 2.0 for our 2018 Ford Raptor 5 yrs ago and loved it. No leaks even when driving in torrential rain and easy to adjust and secure when carrying loads. We purchased another recently for our 2020 Ford F250 Super Duty to pull our camper. Perfect fit. Highly recommend.
Once I figured out what I needed to do the installation ended being fairly easy and quick. My only hang up was cutting back the bed rain caps where I removed them and cut the cutouts with a jig saw, easy peasy. And the Extang has great quality and makes my little truck beautiful. Absolutely love it ant was one of my best buys this year. Buy it, you'll love it!
Cover fits my 73 GMC 1500 pretty well. It is not as easy to put on as depicted in the videos. Tightening the front mounts generally requires getting in the truck bed to latch them properly. The rear ones are spring loaded and attach fairly well but it's not just a pop and drop. When the cover is folded up, the straps need a thumb lock to firmly hold the straps in place, otherwise the wind and vibration tend to start working them loose and they do not hold the fold tightly together. Over all, not a bad buy and don't regret the purchase.
Great tri-fold tonneau. Easy to install. The weather seals on it work great, took a 2000 mile trip after installing it and no water or moisture in the truck bed for the entire trip. The rear quick latches are easy to operate but the springs are a little to stiff for my wife to operate. Again, a great tri-fold.
I wanted a semi to hard cover for the new Tundra, asked the Toyota fam and everyone said 2.0. Install took longer to read than it did to install, super simple and easy. Thought bed rails would be an issue, they make it easier to use. Not 100% water tight, but 95-97% is a fair enough score. Put 6000+ miles on it in a month and this was the first purchase.
I've had this same kind of cover for my old truck for 10 years and haven't had a single issue. This new cover is a bit disappointing. The locking springs are annoying to set in place. I have an issue with water intruding into my tailgate, and I have a minor defect in my cover, almost like a little bubble.
This is the 4th Extang soft trifold cover I’ve owned. Overall pretty good except the upfront clamps are smaller than my last cover which allows it to shift from where I originally had it tightened. The rear clamps tend to be a little fidgety when clamping. The driverside clamp will not hold down tightly and allows water to come in under the rubber side rail seal. When winter comes I’m sure snow will blow in as well. I don’t think I’d buy another of this brand, especially for the premium price I paid.
Directions for installation where spot on which made installation a breeze. Outstanding customer service correcting a mistake by me when I miss measured on my initial order. Which made the entire purchase just over the top successful.
The rear spring latches constantly stick and when you actually get them to draw tight they do not stay that way. I am always having to mess with them so the cover doesn't flutter. The other thing is that the corner foam seems to always fall off. Luckily I catch it and stick them back on. I do not remember having these problems with my old Extang branded cover. I guess that's what you get when private equity takes over.

The cover came quickly and in perfect shape. The customer service during my order was terrific also. The new cover looks great fit perfectly and keeps the truck bed dry as can be and we have experienced some bad rain storms here in the East. I highly recommend this cover it is my second one in 14 years. Installed the cover in 5 minutes.

Installed a Extang Trifecta 2.0 Tri-Fold Tonneau Cover on my 2020 GMC Sierra 1500. Installation was simple, fit was perfect and the cover provided a dry environment during wet weather. Added bonus was an increase in fuel mileage during highway travel. I am totally satisfied with the product and Summit's retail experience.
I was really drawn to the ease of taking this thing on and off. I wanted it to potentially help with fuel economy, and to keep things in my bed from blowing out or being pilfered, but I also often haul piles of logs and such, so I needed to be able to remove and reinstall it often and easily. In this regard it couldn’t be simpler, no sweat at all. Additionally it feels high quality and looks great.
Installation was a breeze, thats about all the good. This is an extremely light duty cover. Unlike most similar covers, this on attaches in the middle of the 1st panel to the sides of the bed, not the front/ bulkhead. The front panel can not be lifted, it has to be removed. I will be modifying mine with a piano hinge and some reinforcement to allow the first panel to raise - letting the cover fold flat against the back glass. Use the full bed when needed without having to find somewhere to stow the cover. Shipping took a full month longer than advertised, HD management was nice enough to partially discount it flr my trouble - great staff, great store - mediocre product from a less than stellar 3rd party vendor.
I really love the cover and it came quickly and is an exact fit . It was easy to install and looks great. It is very quick and easy to fold back or even remove the entire thing by myself. I am just very pleased with this product and the price was right.
This is our fourth Extang and third Trifecta. They stand behind their warranty. Not crazy about the hold down latch redesign, but otherwise still a great product.

I like how easy it is to remove, just two wing nuts that only need to be hand tightened. I had a concern with snow and ice making it difficult to use in the winter. It’s been no problem at all, the snow and ice don’t stick to the material and cleans off nice.

Purchased for a 2025 Ford Ranger. My local detailing shop recommended this brand and model. Fits well. Shortly after installing, I got caught in heaving rain storms. I looked inside the bed afterwards and it was completely dry inside.
It fits my 2019 Chevrolet Silverado crew cab new body style perfectly. I was slightly worried that the back wouldn’t snug down right along the tailgate since the clamps sit farther forward than I would like. It comes with 2 sets of brackets you can bolt to your truck so that it does latch down farther back, but I elected to use the existing rails on my truck rather than installing new brackets. I’ve taken it through the car wash 8 times since installing it and I only get minimal drops of water on the tailgate end. Happy with it and would buy it again.

I purchased an Extang Trifecta cover for an F 150 Lariat I bought new in 2010. Great cover, never leaked and after 9 years of hot- sunny North Carolina summers was still in good condition. I just traded the truck in on a new 2019 F 150 King Ranch and didn't consider another brand! Great cover. Love it.
2023 Ford F-150 Lightning. I’ve had the cover for about 3 months now, and have leak experience. IMHO, the cover could/should be about 3/4”-1” longer than delivered. Trying to balance the coverage of the seals with the slight arc of the bed at the back of the cab, and getting enough sealing surface at the tailgate is challenging. Again, another inch longer would be ideal. I agree with other reviewers that the spring loaded latches are weaker/cheaper than past models…not as robust or dependable. The hardware at the cab to attach the cover looks great, but I have to check it every month or so because it loosens and does not function as intended. For someone on a budget looking for an entry-level cover, this may work. For everyone else who is looking for a quality cover, you may want to pass this one by. My old one NEVER leaked.
I purchased this as a replacement for my 2012 Trifecta because of hail damage. It fits and looks great,but the rear hold down hooks are very weak and allow for to much flutter driving down the road. I swapped the hold down hooks from my old cover with the new. Much better. They really need to fix that.

I like soft trifold covers for a number of reasons, including that they require no rails, no modifications to the truck, look great, and install remove quickly and easily. I had one on my last truck that was perfect after 10 years of use that was sold as a GM accessory but I suspect was made by this company. This trifold is a quality product and installed in about three minutes. The extra minute over the two it usually takes to put on was adjusting the clamps for the first time. I like the look of it and the updated clamps and straps work better than my old one. It allows you options for how you want to use the truck bed, folded up toward the front of simply removed completely. For less than half the price of a hard trifold and what I think is a better looking tonneau cover, this one is a great choice.

This cover is an upgrade over the soft folding cover I bought for my previous truck. It doesn’t show the hinge points or supports and the quality of vinyl is heavier than before. As satisfied as I was with the previous cover, I’m doubly pleased with this one.

Purchased the 2. 0 to replace my original Trifecta bought new in 2016. The covers are identical in fit, structure, and durability. Only difference is the rear hold downs aren't as robust as the original.
Very easy to install, 20 to 25 minutes. No extra tools needed. Easy to use. I'd buy another one in a minute.
Got rid of my awkward heavy bed cover.y new cover is quick and easy to install or take off for bigger loads. Fit and finish are top quality. The cover looks and feels like a softcover but is backed and sturdy
The box was damaged and partially open so I was skeptical whether it was damaged. All was good but I had to go online to get the installation instructions. Simple install with attached levers. No tools required. What I don't like is how tight the tailgate end is. It will deteriorate the paint on the tailgate over time. Wish there was an adjustment. Other than that it looks good and performs well. Easy removal if needed. Light weight is a positive.

I surveyed all the possible Truck Bed Covers on the market for my 2011 FORD F150 XLT, and the extang Trifecta 2.0 was on the Top of the List! After one year, the vinyl cover was subjected to a harsh incident one day, and extang's Managment stood behind their outstanding product. Extang immediately shipped a replacement vinyl cover to me... no questions asked. The hardware kit was missing two washers for the bulkhead accessory rail. I ordered another kit but it also only came with four washers, it kit directions showed six. But with the washers out of but kits I was able to get rail and cover installed. Looks good!

I needed a bed cover that I could take on and off easily to get my kayaks in the bed. This one is simple to put on and take off and only takes a minute. Almost 100% waterproof but not completely. Looks great as well. Worth the price for sure.
