Straight answers on specs, fit and support

Do I have to drill into my truck to install these?

No. None of the Podium cab length install guides for the applications we list calls for drilling; the brackets bolt to factory mounting points at the rocker panel with the hardware in the box. The bracket kit is matched to one body style and cab, so choose your exact vehicle before ordering.

Will the finish hold up to road salt?

The structure under the finish is stainless steel, so corrosion resistance is in the metal as well as in the coating, and the textured black powder coat carries a 5-year finish warranty. Powder coat can still chip from stone strikes, and salt works at any chip, so rinse the bars through winter. If you drive in a salt state and polished stainless is offered for your vehicle, choose it: it has no coating to chip and carries a lifetime finish warranty. No finish is immune to corrosion, and we will not claim otherwise.

Are the ends of the bars sealed?

N-Fab does not publish an end-cap or sealing specification for the cab length Podium, so we will not promise a sealed tube. What N-Fab does specify is the metal: the tube is stainless steel, which resists rust inside and out far better than a bare mild-steel tube. Rinsing the bars after salted roads is still good practice.

How much weight can the steps hold?

N-Fab rates the Podium at up to 300 lb per step and 600 lb per side. The 4.75" serrated pad is sized for a full boot, so it is built to be stood on every day by passengers and anyone climbing in with gear.

How long does the install take and what tools do I need?

It is a bolt-on job with sockets, wrenches and a ratchet, plus a torque wrench where your guide lists a value, and most owners do it in a driveway. The Installation tab of each listing carries the details for that application. Snug everything before final tightening, then recheck the fasteners after the first few weeks of driving so the bar cannot settle.

Do they come as a pair, and is the hardware included?

Yes. Each order is a driver-side and a passenger-side bar with the vehicle-specific mounting hardware for your application. The hardware is matched to one body style and cab, so a kit for one cab configuration will not fit another.
