The RetraxPRO FRC-4000 EZ-OFF is a manual retractable tonneau cover built from double-wall aluminum slats, with T-slot rails along the sides and lift handles that release the whole cover from the truck. Day to day it works like any retractable: pull the key-lockable TraxLatch handle and the slats glide on CoreTrax sealed rollers into a padded storage case, stopping wherever you let go. When a load needs the entire bed, the EZ-OFF handles take the cover off with a quick click and it stands on its own integrated feet in the garage. It is rated to support over 500 lb and finished in matte black.

Features

Double-Wall Aluminum, Over 500 lb
The slat surface is double-wall aluminum, which the manufacturer says adds strength and security. The cover itself is rated to support over 500 lb. Theft resistance is credited to the TraxLatch handle, which takes a key.

Slides Smooth, Stops Anywhere
Pull the key-lockable TraxLatch handle and the cover rides on CoreTrax sealed rollers, so opening and closing takes little effort. Let go at any point along the bed and it holds there. You can also cinch gear between the cover edge and the tailgate.

Lifts Off With a Click
This is what sets the FRC-4000 apart. Integrated EZ-OFF lift handles release the cover from the truck with a patented quick click, so when a load is too tall or too long you take the whole cover off rather than working around it.

Full Bed, 21 Percent More
With the cover off, the whole bed is open, which the manufacturer counts as 21 percent more room than a traditional retractable. The case the slats roll into is padded and the track guiding them is spiral, which is meant to keep cargo unscratched.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns

Warranty. Retrax backs the FRC-4000 with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship for the original owner, and it does not transfer with the truck. Exclusions are accident damage, neglect, improper installation or servicing and any use the cover was not designed for. Lubricating the rails or sealed bearings, cleaning with anything stronger than mild automotive soap, driving with unsecured cargo, opening it with snow or ice on the slats or towing the truck from the rear with the cover fitted all void it. Approved claims are repaired or replaced at the manufacturer's option after a return authorization is issued, with shipping charges payable by the owner.
