Five Drawers Behind One Lock The drawers are commercial-grade and precision-injected, and they sit inside the box behind a single lockable door. That is the practical advantage over an open chest: everything has a place, and one turn of one key secures the lot rather than leaving you to check five separate latches in the dark.
1.5ft³ of Organized Storage Total drawer capacity is 1.5ft³. It is not a large number compared with an open crossover box, and it is not meant to be. Drawer volume buys you the ability to put your hand on a specific socket or a specific fitting in seconds, which on a working truck is worth more than another cubic foot of pile.
Upright Footprint Keeps the Bed Usable At 18" wide and only 7.75" front to back, the box stands against the bulkhead or the wheel well and leaves the floor of the bed open. You are giving up a narrow strip of bed rather than the whole front of it.
MicroSeal Weather Stripping on the Door UWS runs its MicroSeal stripping around the door, which is a thick automotive-style seal rather than a thin foam strip. It is what keeps road grit and rain out of the drawers, and it is the difference between tools that come out clean and tools that come out gritty.
Extra-Thick Welded Aluminum Heavy-wall aluminum with welded seams, finished in gloss black powder coat over a diamond-plate surface. Aluminum is the right material for a box bolted into a steel bed that lives in road salt, because it will not rust out from the mounting points the way a painted steel box does.
Locking T-Handle A single keyed T-handle that folds flush into the door. Replacement cylinders and keys for the T-handle series are stocked as service parts, so a lost key never becomes a reason to replace the box.

Check three things before ordering: 7.75" of depth against your bulkhead or wheel well, 18" of width for the footprint, and 18.75" of vertical clearance, which is the measurement that catches people out if a tonneau cover is involved. Set the box where you want it and open every drawer fully before you mark anything, because a box positioned tight against the bulkhead can foul its own drawers. Mark through the mounting points, then get underneath and confirm your drill path is clear of the fuel tank, brake and fuel lines, the spare tire winch and the wiring harness. Drill, deburr, treat the bare metal on a steel bed, and bolt down using the supplied 1/4" hardware. At 30 lb this is a two-person lift into a bed. How much will it actually hold?

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.
