Features
Patented RigidCore Foam-Filled Lid UWS fills the lid with a solid foam core instead of leaving it hollow. That is what stops a long lid from flexing in the middle, binding in its own opening or drumming as you drive. On a 36.75" lid this is the difference between a box that still latches cleanly after a few years and one that has to be pushed down to catch.
Self-Opening Lid Release the push-button and the lid lifts and stays up on its own, close to a full 90 degrees. That is a genuinely useful detail when both hands are full or you are working in the dark: you are not holding a heavy lid open with a shoulder while you dig for a socket.
Fully Adjustable Leg Brackets The legs use pivoting brackets and telescope for length, so they can be anchored almost anywhere on the box and the bed wall. That flexibility is what lets one leg kit work across a wide range of bed depths and rail shapes.
Lockable Stainless Push-Button A flush stainless push-button releases the lid and locks with a key. There is no protruding handle to catch a hip or a passing load, which is part of why this box works so well tucked against the bed wall.

Extra-Thick 0.058" One-Piece Aluminum Tub The tub is formed from a single piece of 0.058" aluminum rather than welded up from thinner panels, so there are fewer seams to leak or split and the box keeps its shape when it is loaded with heavy hand tools, cordless kits and chain. Aluminum also means it will not rust out from the inside the way a painted steel box does once the coating is chipped, which matters on a box that lives outdoors and gets road salt thrown at it every winter.

Hang the box on the inside face of the bed wall, set the legs to length so it sits level and the lid clears the rail through its full travel, then mark and bolt. The space-saving legs pivot and telescope, so set the angle before you commit to the bracket positions. Check behind the bed wall for wiring and the fuel filler before drilling.

What are the actual dimensions, and will it fit my truck?
The box is 36.75" long, 14.5" deep and 11.75" tall overall, and it holds 2.3ft³. The usable tub inside measures 36" x 9.25" x 8.75". Measure the clear length of bed wall you have, and the height from the bed floor to the top of the rail.
Is the mounting hardware included?
The TBSM-MK2 space-saving leg kit and 2 keys are in the carton, but the bolts that fix the legs and box to your truck are not. UWS states plainly that you must supply your own hardware to suit your bed.
What is the difference between this and the standard UWS part?
This is the same box as EC30361, supplied with the TBSM-MK2 space-saving leg kit instead of full vertical posts. The angled braces pivot and telescope, so they take up much less of the bed floor and leave usable width alongside the box.
How well does it keep water out?
A MicroSeal gasket runs the full perimeter of the opening and compresses as the lid closes. No tool box is a submarine, and a box that is pressure washed straight at the seam or parked nose-down in standing water can still take some in, but in normal service it stays dry inside. Keep the gasket clean and it will keep sealing.
What is the finish, and how does it hold up?
Bright aluminum diamond plate, which is the mill finish of the aluminum itself rather than a coating. It cannot chip or peel because there is nothing on top to come off, and aluminum does not rust. It will dull and pick up a patina over the years, which most owners either like or polish back.
Does the lid stay open on its own?
Yes. Release the push-button and the RigidCore lid lifts and holds itself open at close to 90 degrees, so you have both hands free. The foam-filled lid is light enough for the mechanism to manage but stiff enough not to flex on the way up.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.
