Cat-Back Exhaust Systems by Borla: Close-up of a dark chrome exhaust tip with a Borla logo under a dark rear bumper.

Full volume, clear character

ATAK is Borla at full voice. The sound is big and aggressive under load, yet shaped so it reads as a defined exhaust note instead of raw noise, giving you clear feedback on engine speed as you drive.

Cores tuned like an equalizer

Inside each ATAK muffler, solid and perforated cores are sized and drilled through computer modeling, letting Borla adjust the sound much like an equalizer adjusts music. The cores sit in mandrel-bent T-304 stainless tubing that keeps its round profile through every bend.

Covered long after purchase

The system carries Borla's Million-Mile Warranty against material and workmanship defects for the original owner. Finishes and moving parts have a one-year term, so the stainless itself is where the long coverage lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

Is ATAK the loudest Borla option?

Yes. Borla's ATAK page states that ATAK produces the highest sound levels in its line, ahead of S-Type and Touring.

What does ATAK stand for?

Acoustically-Tuned Applied Kinetics. It refers to muffler cores whose shapes and perforations are tuned by computer modeling for each vehicle.

Can I make the system quieter later?

Borla's warranty page notes that sound is subjective and suggests venturis, available through retailers, as one way to tone a system down. Sound level itself is not covered by the warranty.

Does it keep the catalytic converters?

Yes. A Cat-Back system starts behind the catalytic converters and leaves them installed.

Are the tips covered for a million miles?

No. Tip finishes, coatings and carbon fiber carry a one-year warranty. The million-mile term applies to material and workmanship defects of the system.

How do I know it fits?

Check the fitment table and fit notes on the product page against your year, engine, drivetrain and body configuration.
