The ACCESS TrailSeal is a rubber gasket that closes the gaps around your tailgate, so dust, rain and snow stay out of the bed. Those gaps are where most water and dust get past a tonneau cover, cap or topper. It is one universal kit: cut it to length, peel the backing and press it into place, and the tailgate opens and closes as normal.

Install Tips From Owners

Install when the air and the truck are above 60°F so the adhesive bonds properly.
Clean every surface first with the included pads. Most seals that come loose were stuck to a dirty or waxed surface.
Press firmly along the whole strip, then leave the tailgate closed for 48 hours so the gasket takes its shape.
On a spray-in bed liner, adhesion is weaker. Clean well and press hard.

FAQ

Will it fit my truck?

It is a universal kit cut to length, made for most pickup tailgates. On some trucks the top few inches of each side gap are wider, so you may want to double up the gasket there.

Does it stop the tailgate closing?

No. It slides down into the gaps around the tailgate and does not change how the tailgate opens or latches.

Do I need it if I have a tonneau cover?

That is when it helps most. The cover seals the top, and TrailSeal seals the tailgate gaps the cover cannot reach.

Will it keep out all dust and water?

It cuts most of it. Owners commonly report a large drop in dust from gravel roads, but no seal makes a truck bed airtight.
