S-Type Mid-Sections give performance trucks the classic Borla tone by replacing the factory mufflers and center piping while the tail pipes stay put. They are built from mandrel-bent T-304 stainless steel, and Borla states each one keeps drone out of the cab.
Tail pipes and tips are not part of this assembly; it pairs with the factory tail pipes or with Borla tail pipes or tips sold separately, and installation is not included.
Features
Balanced S-Type character
S-Type is Borla's classic tone, aggressive under throttle and refined at cruise, one step below ATAK in volume.
Replaces mufflers and center piping
The assembly covers the section between the catalytic converters and the tail pipes, the part of the system that does most of the sound shaping.
Keeps the factory tail pipes
It connects to the original tail pipes, or to Borla tail pipes sold separately, so you choose whether the rear of the truck changes.
Drone kept out of the cab
Borla states every S-Type Mid-Section in this group has no drone inside the vehicle.
T-304 stainless, mandrel formed
Mandrel bending keeps each tube round, and T-304 austenitic stainless steel resists corrosion and heat better than 409 or aluminized steel.
Covered by the Million-Mile Warranty
Borla covers material and workmanship defects for the original buyer on the original truck, with one year on valves, actuators and finishes.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns
Warranty. Borla covers its products under the Million-Mile Warranty, which protects the original purchaser of record, on the vehicle the part was first installed on, against defects in materials or workmanship for a million miles. Carbon fiber, black coatings, tip finishes and moving parts such as valves and actuators carry a one-year term, and appearance blemishes from weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance or temperature extremes are not covered. When Borla's inspection confirms a defect, Borla repairs or replaces the part at its option. The warranty does not pay for removal or reinstallation, does not apply to parts damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication or modification, and does not cover sound level, because sound is a matter of taste. Shipping. The carrier and ship method are set by the size and weight of the carton when the order is placed; long exhaust systems ship in oversize cartons. Inspect on delivery. When the carton arrives, open it and check every pipe, muffler, clamp and hanger against the parts list before you start the install, and report any shipping damage right away with photos.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About Borla
Borla began in 1978 building stainless exhaust systems for concours Rolls-Royce and Ferrari restorations, and the company has grown into a leading name in stainless performance exhaust for cars and trucks.
Each Borla system starts as a clean-sheet design for one vehicle. Engineers at the research and development center in Oxnard, California shape the muffler bodies, internal cores and flow paths around that platform's own mechanical and acoustic traits, then offer the result in a choice of Touring, S-Type or ATAK sound.
Production happens at a 100-acre plant in Johnson City, Tennessee, where raw stainless steel is cut, bent, welded and shipped. Borla also supplies factory-installed accessory exhaust to automakers such as GM, Ford and Toyota.
