Roll-N-Lock M-Series Retractable Tonneau Cover for 2022-2026 Ford Maverick (4'6" Bed)

The M-Series is Roll-N-Lock's manual retractable cover for the 4'6" bed on the 2022-2026 Ford Maverick. Twist the latch at the rear and the deck rolls forward on its side tracks into a canister behind the cab, so the whole box opens with nothing to lift off, carry or find a place for.

Everything mechanical sits in the rails and the canister: the torsion-spring drive that carries the deck forward, the ratchet that catches it at three points, and the keyed latch under its weather flap at the rear edge.

LG135M is the Maverick part. The bed is short by pickup standards, which makes a retractable cover worth more here than on a full-size truck: the canister takes 7.25" at the bulkhead, but nothing else is lost, and the whole opening is clear when the deck is rolled back.

Features

Locks With Your Tailgate
Roll-N-Lock builds a tailgate extrusion into the rear of the cover. With the cover closed and latched, the tailgate cannot be dropped, so the bed is closed off by the cover and the tailgate together rather than by the cover alone.

Three Latching Positions
A patented ratchet-style latching mechanism holds the deck at three points along its travel. Haul something tall and you can leave the cover part way back and still lock it there, instead of choosing between fully covered and fully open.

Weatherproof Key Cover
The keyed twist latch sits behind a hinged cover over the key slot. It is a small part that solves a real winter problem: rain and snow stay out of the cylinder, so the lock does not freeze shut overnight.

Drains Through the Rails, Not Onto Your Gear
The one-piece vinyl top sheds the weather, and integrated channels and drain tubes route anything that gets past the seal down through the rails and out under the truck.

Vinyl Over Aluminum Slats
Aluminum slats carry the load and the structure; an industrial-grade vinyl skin is laid over the top. You get the flat, seamless look of a soft cover with a hard deck underneath it.

Clamps On, No Holes in the Truck
The rails clamp to the bed rails with the included hardware and the canister sits against the bulkhead. Nothing is drilled into the truck itself. If your bed has a drop-in plastic liner, that liner does have to be trimmed and drilled to clear the canister and the drain tubes, and Roll-N-Lock gives the cut measurements in the sheet.

Installation

The side tracks fix to the Ford Maverick's bed rails with the supplied hardware and the canister housing sits against the bulkhead at the front of the bed. No holes go into the truck itself.

If your bed has a drop-in plastic liner, read this first. Roll-N-Lock's sheet for this application has you cut the liner back across the bulkhead and at the tailgate end with a jig saw, then drill five 1/2" holes through it so the canister seats properly and the drain tubes can pass through. The sheet gives the exact measurements. A spray-in liner or a bare bed needs none of that. This is the step people are surprised by, so it is better to know before the box is open than after.

Track spacing is the step that decides whether the cover latches: Roll-N-Lock specifies 49-1/4" inside track to track for this truck, and the cargo shield has notches you use as the gauge. Clamps go to 62 in-lb (7 Nm) at the bed clamps. Keep the drain tubes clear of the cab vents. Roll-N-Lock does not publish an installation time for this cover, so we are not going to quote one.

Warranty, Shipping & Returns

Warranty. Roll-N-Lock covers the M-Series with a three (3) year limited warranty to the original purchaser against defects in material and workmanship. The warranty is not transferable. Roll-N-Lock states plainly that it does not warrant against water intrusion, including leaks in normal use, so treat this as a water-resistant cover rather than a sealed one.

Three things in the warranty conditions that catch people out. Never spray lubricant into the tracks, silicone or petroleum based especially, because it attracts grit and Roll-N-Lock voids the warranty for it. Clear snow and ice off the cover before you open it. And if the truck is ever towed from the rear, the cover has to come off first. Clean with mild automotive soap and water only.

Free shipping. This cover ships free to the lower 48 states. It travels as an oversized parcel rather than a freight shipment.

Inspect on delivery. The cover arrives in a long, flat carton that takes the knocks before anything inside does. Check the packaging when it arrives, and if you see damage, note it on the delivery paperwork and contact us straight away so we can put it right.
