The UWS 69" crossover box mounts across the bed rails right behind the cab, which is the classic truck box position: reachable from either side, out of the way of everything you haul, and it does not cost you the tailgate. This is the deep angled tub, so it holds 10ft³, and the angled ends are cut to clear wheel wells and the narrowing beds that give a straight box trouble. It measures 70" across, 20" front to back and 18.75" tall over a 59" x 17" x 16" tub. The lid is the patented RigidCore foam-filled design and self-opens to 90 degrees. It locks with two stainless steel paddle lock handles. Finished in gloss black powder coat, sealed with the MicroSeal gasket, and it ships with the clamps, rail pads and hardware to fit it without drilling.

Deep Angled Tub, 10ft³ The tub is 59" x 17" x 16", noticeably deeper than a standard crossover, so power tools and cases stand up in it instead of lying flat. The angled ends clear the wheel wells and the taper of a modern bed.
Patented RigidCore Foam-Filled Lid The lid is filled with a solid foam core instead of being left a hollow shell. It resists bending and warping, which is what keeps a lid this wide lining up with its latches years later, and it self-opens to 90 degrees and holds there so you can work with both hands.
Stainless Steel Paddle Lock Handles Two stainless steel paddle handles, one on each side, linked by an internal connecting rod so the lid opens from wherever you are standing. Stainless keeps them working through salted winters. Two keys are included.
One-Piece 0.058" Aluminum Tub Extra-thick aluminum formed from a single sheet, with no welded seam along the floor for water to work into, and no steel to rust when a dropped tool chips the finish.
MicroSeal Gasket and Interior Rod Enclosure The MicroSeal gasket seals the lid all the way round against rain, spray and dust. Inside, the latch rod runs in an enclosure that protects it from being bent or jammed by shifting cargo, which is a common way for a crossover box to stop locking.
Clamps On Without Drilling The box ships with rail pads, clamps, washers and nuts, so it fits to the bed rails without a single hole drilled in the truck. The pads also keep the aluminum box from sitting directly on the bed rail.

Set the rail pads on the bed rails, lower the box on with a hand at each end, then draw the clamps up underneath the rail and torque them evenly so the box sits flat and the lid lines up with both latches. Nothing needs drilling. Check the lid clears the back window when it is fully open before you tighten everything down. UWS is explicit that a tool box is not a place for flammables or hazardous material, so no fuel cans, solvents, propane or cutting torches. Never load past the vehicle manufacturer's rated capacity.

Will this fit my truck?
Crossovers fit by bed width rather than model. Measure across the outside of your bed rails: this box is 70" wide, which fits a full-size pickup bed. Mid-size trucks are narrower, so measure first. Also check that the 18.75" height clears your back window when the lid swings open.
Do I have to drill the truck?
No. The box clamps to the bed rails using the included rail pads, clamps, washers and nuts. Nothing gets drilled, and the box lifts off cleanly if you sell the truck.
How much deeper is the 'deep' tub?
The tub is 16" deep and holds 10ft³ in total. That is enough for power tool cases to stand upright rather than lie flat, which is usually the difference between everything fitting and having to leave something in the garage.
Can I open it from either side?
Yes. There is a stainless steel paddle handle on each side and an internal connecting rod links them, so the lid opens from the driver or passenger side. The rod runs inside an enclosure so shifting cargo cannot bend or jam it.

Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.
