Every cover on this page fits a GMC Canyon, from the 2004 first generation to the 2026 AT4X. Set your year and bed in the selector and each series narrows to the part built for your truck.
GMC has built three generations of Canyon on four bed lengths, and sold no US Canyon for 2013 or 2014. Since 2023 every Canyon, from the Elevation to the AT4X, is a Crew Cab with the 61.7-inch short box.

Both short boxes measure 61.7 inches, yet no part here fits a 2022 and a 2023 Canyon alike, so a 2022 Denali and a 2023 Denali take different covers.
What changes the part on an AT4, Denali or AT4X
GMC's MultiStow tailgate has a lockable storage bin built into the gate. It is standard on current AT4 and Denali trucks and optional on the Elevation, and Roll-N-Lock lists its 2023 to 2026 M-Series and M-Series XT as not compatible with it. No other 2023 to 2026 Canyon part here carries a tailgate note.
The AT4X AEV Edition, sold since the 2024 model year, stands its 35-inch spare upright in the bed on an AEV mount, because a tire that size will not fit the spare well under the bed. No cover can close over it, so settle where that spare will ride before you buy.
On 2015 to 2022 trucks, GMC's accessory sport bar changes the TruXedo part. The short-box Lo Pro comes with or without it, while the long-box Lo Pro and both Pro X15 TS parts are listed for trucks without one.
One-piece lids stop at the 2022 Canyon. UnderCover's LUX, SE, Elite and painted Elite LX fit 2015 to 2022 short and long boxes, but none of the four lists a 2023 to 2026 truck.
Choosing a cover for the Canyon
An Elevation or Denali that hauls luggage more than lumber suits a folding cover. The BAKFlip G2 ($1,099.99) and UnderCover Flex ($1,099.99) are the hard folders with a part for every Canyon bed since 2004, and the G2 can ride closed, folded or flipped up against the cab. Here it goes onto a 2024 Canyon:
Soft folders cost less and lift off by hand. The Extang Trifecta 2.0 ($469.99) carries a limited lifetime warranty but ends with 2022 trucks, and a 2018 Canyon Denali owner calls its fit perfect and the cover water-tight. On 2023 to 2026 trucks the Trifecta ALX ($519.99) and Trifecta Signature 2.0 ($539.99) take over:
“Fit my 24 Canyon perfect. Looks great.”

To carry crossbars or a rooftop tent over a closed cover on an AT4 or AT4X, choose one with T-slot rails. Seven railed covers fit the 2023 to 2026 Canyon: the BAKFlip MX4 TS ($1,449.99), BAK Revolver X4ts ($1,549.99), RetraxONE XR ($1,699.99), RetraxPRO XR, Retrax PowerTraxPRO XR, TruXedo Pro X15 TS and Roll-N-Lock M-Series XT. With the MultiStow tailgate fitted, strike the XT from that list.
Roll-ups and retractables split on floor space. BAK's Revolver X2 ($1,299.99) and X4s roll up against the front wall, so no canister takes floor space. A 2015 Canyon owner adds:
“It rolls compact, the straps hold it secure to the front and what I really like about it is that you still have a great view out the rear view window.”

A Retrax canister does take some floor, but in return a cover such as the RetraxONE MX ($1,549.99) locks wherever you stop it.
Long-box Canyons from 2015 to 2022, Extended Cab or Crew Cab, have 32 series. For weight on the lid, the Extang Solid Fold ALX ($1,199.99) is rated for 600 lb and the RetraxPRO MX ($2,149.99) for 500 lb.
Brands we carry for the Canyon
Nine brands make the 50 series that fit a Canyon here; the table takes at least one from each, in order of Canyon From price.
The Extang Trifecta e-Series ($339.99) is the entry-level Canyon cover here, with parts for 2023 to 2026 trucks, both 2015 to 2022 boxes and the first-generation 6 ft bed. It clamps on without tools or drilling, folds back to open two-thirds of the bed and has a five-year warranty on the hard parts and fabric. Skip it if the bed needs a lock of its own, since the cover has none and relies on a locked tailgate.
On an AT4 or Denali with MultiStow, Roll-N-Lock is out, but no Retrax part for 2023 to 2026 trucks carries a tailgate note. The RetraxONE MX ($1,549.99) is Retrax's entry-level retractable: its one-piece polycarbonate top locks with a key at any point along the rails, and a 2023 Canyon owner valued opening it without dropping the tailgate. Skip it for weight on the lid: it is rated for 200 lb with a one-year warranty, where the RetraxPRO MX carries 500 lb and a limited lifetime warranty.
The BAK Revolver X4ts ($1,549.99) runs T-slot rails down both sides for crossbars or a rooftop tent, locks along the full bed length with BAK's Level-3 rotational rails and rolls onto a spool rather than into a canister. It fits 2015 to 2022 short and long boxes and 2023 to 2026 trucks, with a five-year warranty. Skip it if you want the rolled cover low, because a 2024 Canyon owner found the open roll sits tall and had to shim both rails by about 1/8 inch.
UnderCover sprays the Elite LX ($1,499.99) to factory paint codes, lines its underside with carpet and rates the one-piece lid for 500 lb, with parts for both 2015 to 2022 boxes. A rotating handle with a key lock secures the lid, which also holds the tailgate shut. Skip it if the tailgate must open while the bed stays locked, or if your Canyon is a 2023 or newer, which no one-piece lid here fits.
All 61.7 inches of floor open
The BAKFlip MX4 ($1,199.99) folds flush to the cab so a short-box Canyon keeps its whole floor, and the closed panels carry 400 lb.
T-slot rails over a locked bed
Crossbars bolt to the Revolver X4ts ($1,549.99) rails while the slats below stay locked, and the rolled cover leaves the rear window and camera clear.
Vinyl that stays pulled flat
A spring inside the TruXedo TruXport ($349.99) keeps its vinyl tight through cold mornings and hot afternoons, and it lists all five Canyon beds since 2004.
Canyon tonneau cover FAQs
Which bed does my Canyon have?
A 2023 to 2026 Canyon always has the 5'2" short box, because GMC builds it only as a Crew Cab. On 2015 to 2022 trucks the Extended Cab came only with the 6'2" long box, while the Crew Cab offered both. First-generation trucks have a 5'1" bed on the Crew Cab and a 6'1" bed on Regular and Extended Cabs. If you are unsure, measure the floor from the bulkhead to the shut tailgate: about 62 inches is the short box and about 74 the long box.
Do covers work with the MultiStow tailgate?
Most list no restriction. Roll-N-Lock is the exception: its 2023 to 2026 M-Series and M-Series XT are listed as not compatible with the MultiStow tailgate, which current AT4 and Denali trucks have as standard. For a retractable on one of those trims, the six Retrax covers for 2023 to 2026 trucks carry no tailgate note.
Will a Colorado or Sierra cover fit my Canyon?
A Chevy Colorado cover of the same years will, apart from UnderCover's 2024 to 2026 Elite and Elite LX, which are built for the Colorado alone. Every Canyon part on this page lists the Colorado too. A Sierra 1500 cover will not: no part here lists both the Canyon and the Sierra.
How long does a cover take to fit on a Canyon?
Canyon owners mostly report an hour or less. A 2023 owner fitted a RetraxONE XR in about 30 minutes, a 2024 owner did an Extang Endure ALX in about 45 and a 2015 owner put on a BAK Revolver X2 in about an hour. Allow for surprises: a 2021 owner spent two hours on a Revolver X4s because pads on the bed rails had to come off first, and a 2025 owner notched the RetraxPRO XR side rails when the cover stopped an inch short of the tailgate.
Which Canyon covers carry the longest warranty?
The Extang Trifecta 2.0 and Trifecta ALX and the RetraxPRO MX and RetraxPRO XR have limited lifetime warranties, and all but the Trifecta 2.0 also fit 2023 to 2026 trucks. Pace Edwards gives the BedLocker for 2015 to 2022 short boxes seven years, prorated after five. Five years covers the BAKFlip MX4, the BAK Revolver X4s and X4ts and Extang's Endure ALX and Solid Fold ALX, while the RetraxONE MX and XR carry one year.
