Every cover here fits a Ram 2500 or 3500, including Dodge Ram 2500 and 3500 trucks back to 1994. Set your year and bed in the selector to see the exact part, with any RamBox or dually limits in its title.
Ram 2500 and 3500 tonneau covers that fit your bed
Since 2003, heavy-duty Rams have used a 6'4" or an 8' bed, and on current trucks the cab narrows it down.

Ram redesigned these trucks for 2010 and again for 2019, yet most covers here use one part per bed for 2010 through 2025 or 2026 trucks. That is the reverse of the Ram 1500, whose 2019 body takes its own covers. Access and LOMAX are the exceptions here, with separate parts for 2019 and later. UnderCover's one-piece lids stop at 2024 trucks. The selector files trucks through 2010 under Dodge and 2011 on under Ram, and parts for 1994 to 2002 trucks list a 6'6" or 8' bed.
RamBox and the factory rails
Ram brought RamBox to the heavy-duty 6'4" bed for 2012, on single-rear-wheel Crew Cab and Mega Cab trucks. So every RamBox part here is a 6'4" part, and 14 series make one, from the Extang Trifecta e-Series ($339.99) to the RetraxPRO MX ($2,249.99). Read the rail note in the title as well. TruXedo's 2019 to 2026 Lo Pro part and Extang's Trifecta 2.0 part are built for trucks with the silver cargo rails. LOMAX has you remove the utility rails, while Access lists its Lorado for trucks without the factory tonneau rails. UnderCover, Pace Edwards and Roll-N-Lock's M-Series XT list no RamBox part for these trucks.
Choosing a cover for the Ram 2500 and 3500
If your bed carries a gooseneck or fifth-wheel hitch, let that steer the choice first. A roll-up or retractable stows at the front wall and leaves the rest of the bed open. BAK lists the Revolver X2 ($1,379.99) and Revolver X4s ($1,479.99) as compatible with most fifth-wheel hitch setups, and a 2015 Ram 3500 owner runs an X4s closed over the hitch:
“Fits flush without intruding on the space below. Floats comfortably above my fifth wheel without any contact. The fifth wheel is set as low as it can be in the factory puck mounts.”

Folding covers split owners who tow. Some fold theirs out of the way for a fifth wheel, but a 2025 Ram 2500 owner who plans to tow a gooseneck now and then calls a retractable cover necessary with the 6'4" bed.
Among retractables, the RetraxPRO MX holds open at any point and carries 500 lb, and Roll-N-Lock's M-Series ($1,799.99) latches at three positions. Pace Edwards' Full Metal JackRabbit ($2,273.94) fits only the 8 ft bed here and locks every 12 inches. For push-button opening, the Pace Edwards BedLocker ($2,886.23) is the one electric cover with an 8 ft part, since Retrax's PowertraxPRO MX ($2,899.99) and PowertraxPRO XR fit the 6'4" bed only.
Work trucks with a crossover toolbox have three choices. Extang's Trifecta Toolbox 2.0 ($489.99) and Solid Fold Toolbox 2.0 ($1,249.99) fit 6'4" and 8' beds through 2026. The Access Toolbox Edition ($580.55) is the roll-up option, and its 2019 and later 8 ft part is for single-rear-wheel trucks only. A 2015 Ram 3500 dually owner chose the Trifecta Toolbox 2.0 to cover the bed and keep the toolbox already in it.
For cross bars or a bed rack, five T-slot series fit both beds: the BAKFlip MX4 TS, Revolver X4 TS, TruXedo Pro X15 TS, RetraxPRO XR and Roll-N-Lock M-Series XT. None of them has a RamBox part. A 2025 Ram 3500 owner says the RetraxPRO XR ($2,399.99) fit the 6'4" bed like a glove and now carries a kayak and cargo box.
Seven series start under $500. The Extang Trifecta e-Series and TruXedo TruXport ($349.99) lead them on price, but only the e-Series and Extang's Trifecta 2.0 ($469.99) among the seven have RamBox parts.
Brands we carry for the Ram 2500 and 3500
All nine brands on this page build for these trucks. The table picks one or two series from each and shows whether a RamBox part exists.
BAK lists the Revolver X4s ($1,479.99) as compatible with most fifth-wheel hitch setups, and it rolls onto a spool at the front wall to clear the whole bed. Its parts cover 6'4" and 8' beds from 2010 to 2026, including RamBox trucks from 2012, with a 400 lb load rating and BAK's Level-3 security rating. Skip it if you want cross bars as well: the X4s has no rack rails, and the rack-ready Revolver X4 TS is listed here only through 2025.
Retrax builds the RetraxPRO MX ($2,249.99) in a RamBox version for the 6'4" bed beside its standard 6'4" and 8 ft parts, all listed through 2026. Its double-wall aluminum slats carry 500 lb and hold open at any point, and a 2017 Ram 2500 RamBox owner calls it not entirely water tight but says little water gets in. Skip it if price leads: the BAKFlip MX4 ($1,249.99) also has a RamBox part and folds flush to the cab to open the whole bed.
Access makes a Lorado ($580.55) part just for the 8 ft bed of the 2019 to 2027 Ram 3500 dually, plus 8 ft parts for single-rear-wheel trucks and a RamBox part. It is a soft roll-up that sits about an inch above the rails, clamps on without drilling and carries a 5-year warranty. Skip it if you need a lock, because it latches itself shut but relies on a locked tailgate for security.
The Extang Trifecta 2.0 ($469.99) has parts back to 1994 Dodge Rams, and on 2011 to 2026 trucks it covers the 8 ft bed and the 6'4" bed with or without RamBox. It clamps on by hand, folds forward to open two thirds of the bed and carries a limited lifetime warranty. A 2017 Ram 2500 Mega Cab owner reports a dry bed through heavy, wind-driven rain. Skip it if gear will rest on the lid, since Extang gives the tarp no load rating.
Locks at any point on the rails
The RetraxONE MX ($1,649.99) slides into a canister behind the cab and locks anywhere along its rails, with RamBox and standard parts for 2009 to 2026 6'4" beds.
Rated for 500 lb
Extang rates the four-panel Endure ALX ($1,549.99) for 500 lb spread evenly on 2011 to 2026 6'4" beds, and prop rods hold it against the cab to open the whole bed.
Latches itself when you close it
The Trifecta ALX ($519.99) closes onto a Secure Rotary Release latch that catches on its own, and its 2011 to 2026 6'4" part clamps on without tools.
Ram 2500 and 3500 tonneau cover FAQs
What bed length does my Ram 2500 or 3500 have?
On 2019 to 2026 trucks, a Regular Cab has the 8' bed, a Mega Cab the 6'4" bed and a Crew Cab either one. Measured at the floor, the 6'4" bed runs 76.3 inches and the 8' bed 98.3 inches, so a tape from the front wall to the closed tailgate settles it. Parts for 2003 to 2009 trucks list the same two beds, and 1994 to 2002 parts list a 6'6" short bed.
Do covers fit a Ram 2500 or 3500 with RamBox?
Yes, as long as you order a RamBox part. Those exist only for the 6'4" bed of a 2012 or later truck. BAK, Retrax, Extang, TruXedo, Roll-N-Lock, LOMAX and Access make them, 14 series in all. Match the rail note as well, since some parts need the silver cargo rails and LOMAX wants the utility rails removed. A Ram 2500 RamBox owner says the Revolver X4s guides took muscle, lubricant and clamps to slide into the factory track.
Will a Ram 1500 tonneau cover fit my 2500 or 3500?
Often, if the cover was made for a 2009 to 2018 Ram 1500 or a 1500 Classic. Many 6'4" and 8' parts for those trucks also list the 2500 and 3500. Parts built for the 2019 and later Ram 1500 name that truck alone, so choose a part whose title lists the 2500 or 3500.
Do covers fit a Ram 3500 dually?
Yes. Most brands make no separate dually part, so the standard 3500 part applies. Access is the exception on 2019 to 2027 trucks, with dedicated 8' dually parts for the Lorado, Original and TonnoSport. UnderCover lists its one-piece lids for single-rear-wheel 3500s only, and LOMAX's 2019 and later part without RamBox excludes duallies. One 2017 Ram 3500 4x4 dually owner says the BAKFlip F1 feels heavy with so much reaching up to fold it.
Will a tonneau cover keep my Ram 2500 bed dry?
Mostly, and owners of these trucks report a range. A 2017 Ram 2500 Mega Cab owner says the Extang Trifecta 2.0 stayed dry through heavy, wind-driven rain, while a 2017 Ram 2500 RamBox owner calls the RetraxPRO MX not entirely water tight and faults its drain plugs. A 2022 Mega Cab owner says the BAKFlip F1's rear seal barely meets the tailgate. Covers with drain tubes, such as the RetraxPRO MX and Pace Edwards SwitchBlade, carry water that gets past the seals out under the truck.
