AMP Research BedXTender HD Mounting Kits fit AMP Research BedXTender HD extenders to trucks that need different brackets or extra clearance. The range covers Quick-Latch brackets, which AMP Research says let you lift the extender up to a 45-degree angle and then off, and which are required with a tonneau cover or shell; a no-drill kit that mounts to the factory holes in the bed pillar; a Tonneau Cover Spacer Kit whose spacers lift the extender's tubes clear of tonneau cover rails; and truck-specific brackets that replace the standard ones. AMP Research describes steel construction with a black powder coat, most kits drill the D-pillar or bed flange, and AMP Research backs them with a 3-year limited warranty.

AMP's BedXTender HD extenders come in three shapes: the Sport (V-shaped), the extra-wide Max (U-shaped) and the Moto, with a slant-back frame for motorcycles. Each flips out over the lowered tailgate or folds into the bed, and AMP makes mounting kits for trucks that need different brackets.

Will my extender clear my tonneau cover?
For covers with rails or clamps inside the bed, AMP Research recommends the Tonneau Cover Spacer Kit (74609-01A) with most BedXTender HD extenders. AMP's sheet has you add spacers until the tubes clear the rails.
Do these kits need drilling?
Most do: the sheets drill the D-pillar or bed flange. The Ford No-Drill kit uses factory holes, except on trucks with a drop-in liner.

AMP Research covers this product against defects in materials and workmanship for three years from the date of purchase.- It applies to AMP Research products properly installed per the supplied instructions, with normal use and proper maintenance.
- During the warranty, AMP Research will, at its option, repair or replace the defective product at no charge. If the product has been discontinued, it may replace it with a current product of comparable function and value.
- It covers the original purchaser only and is not transferable. It ends if the product is removed from the original vehicle or the vehicle passes to another owner.
- Keep your proof of purchase. AMP's install guide asks you to register the product, since your receipt and product details on file are required for warranty; contact us for claims and registration help.
- Claims: contact us for claims and registration help first, and include a copy of your proof of purchase with any item returned for warranty work. Repaired or replaced items come back to you freight prepaid. You pay any labor to remove or reinstall the product.
- Not covered: damage, defects or malfunctions caused by misuse, abuse, accident, fire, vandalism, negligence, improper installation, modification, improper or inadequate maintenance, acts of nature, on-road and off-road hazards, or defective parts AMP Research did not make. Incidental and consequential damages are not recoverable (some states do not allow this exclusion).
