How do I know which controller I have?
Look at the label on the existing controller for its type code, such as STA, STB, XTA, SSA or SSX, and match it to the title.
Will a new controller fix my steps?
Only if the controller is the fault. Owners report replacing a controller without fixing the problem, so confirm the diagnosis with AMP Research tech support first.
My old controller is a B-03 or B-05. What else do I need?
AMP Research says to order pigtail 19-04361-90 as well as the 19-04280-STB controller.
Does it work with the override switch?
The PowerStep Override Switch is sold separately in three versions (79105-01A, 79106-01A and 79107-01A), chosen by the controller type. Its listing explains which version to order.
Are there kits it does not fit?
Yes. For example, AMP Research states that some controllers do not work with kits 75141-01A and 75134-01A; the fit notes list any exclusions.
Is there a warranty?
AMP Research does not publish a warranty term for replacement controllers on its product pages. Contact us with your kit number for details.
