Night Driving Technique

ARB on how to actually use auxiliary lighting at night: beam selection, aiming, and reading the road ahead at speed. Worth watching before you aim a new set of lights for the first time.

The ARB Story

How a Melbourne driveway operation building bull bars for outback tourers in 1975 became the southern hemisphere's biggest 4x4 accessories maker. Seven minutes on the company behind this product, filmed by ARB across its Australian factories and proving grounds.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

When do I need a pedestal mount instead of a clamp?

When there is no tube to clamp around. If you are mounting to a bumper face, a bar pan, a rack platform or any flat panel, the pedestal kit is the right part. If you have tubular bar, use one of the three ARM clamp kits sized to your tube diameter instead.

Which lights does it fit?

ARB lists it for the Intensity driving light and Intensity light bar range. The mounting interface is common across those lights, so the question is the mounting surface rather than which light you have.

Is the hardware included?

Yes, the kit is complete. Stainless steel fasteners, spacer and washers are all supplied, so the only tool you need is a socket set and ideally a torque wrench.

Why does mount stiffness matter?

A light that oscillates on a soft mount has a beam that wanders exactly when you need it steady, and the repeated movement works vibration back into the light body and the bar it is bolted to. ARB engineers the mounting system for stability rather than treating it as an afterthought bracket.

Will the stainless hardware corrode?

Stainless is the right choice for a part living at the front of the vehicle in road salt and mud, and it is what ARB specifies throughout this kit. Nothing is immune forever, but this is the appropriate material for the job.

What is the warranty?

ARB publishes a 3-year term for this part, administered in North America by ARB out of Auburn, Washington, and honored through authorized dealers like us.
