Features
- Fully welded aluminum: The platform is welded aluminum through and through, so it needs no supporting subframe underneath.
- Ultra-low roof profile: It sits close to the roof, which keeps the look clean and the rack out of the worst of the wind.
- Dovetail mounting system: A dovetail channel runs around the whole outside edge and along the internal beams, giving many places to mount gear.
- Faster than T-slot fitting: ARB says accessories go on or come off in a fraction of the time a T-slot system takes.
- Cross-beam load deck: Internal cross beams form a solid deck for a tent, recovery gear or work equipment.
- Textured black powder coat: ARB finishes the platform in a hard-wearing textured black powder coat.
Description & Fitment
At 72" x 51" (1835 x 1285 mm), the 1770030 gives a hardtop-equipped dual cab pickup the full 51" width. It uses seven internal beams and carries ARB's 386 lb (175 kg) payload rating, always within the vehicle's own roof limit. ARB lists its weight at 43.9 lb (19.9 kg). In the box: the fully welded platform with corner caps fitted, fasteners for joining it to an ARB BASE Rack mount kit, and ARB fitting instructions. Not in the box: the vehicle mount kit, guard rails or accessories.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check before you buy: ARB lists a BASE Rack mount kit for your vehicle that takes the 72" x 51" platform; the kit is sold separately. Other BASE Rack platforms we list: 1770060 (49" x 45"), 1770050 (49" x 57"), 1770020 (61" x 51"), 1770010 (72" x 45"), 1770030 (72" x 51"), 1770040 (84" x 51"), plus the 1770180 modular section.
Not for: loads above the lower of ARB's payload rating and your vehicle's roof load limit, or vehicles without a matching BASE Rack mount kit.
About ARB
ARB.
ARB began in Melbourne, Australia, in 1975, when founder Tony Brown started building bull bars for four wheel drives heading into the outback. Fifty years on, ARB designs and tests its own 4x4 equipment, from bumpers, winches and recovery gear to Air Locker differentials, fridges and camping kit.
In North America, ARB products are supported by ARB's US office, Air Locker Inc., in Auburn, Washington, which administers the warranty for products bought here.
Authorized ARB dealer. Prestige Truck is an authorized ARB dealer, so what we sell is new and genuine ARB. ARB's warranty period starts on the purchase date shown on your receipt, so keep it with your vehicle records.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference from the 1770010?
Same 72" length, but this platform is 51" wide rather than 45", and ARB rates it at 386 lb (175 kg) rather than 330 lb.
Which vehicles does ARB list it for?
Dual cab pickups with a hardtop. Check that ARB lists a BASE Rack mount kit for your vehicle.
Is a mount kit included?
No. BASE Rack platforms fit on an ARB BASE Rack mount kit made for your vehicle, sold separately. Check that ARB lists a kit for your vehicle with this platform size.
How do accessories attach?
Through ARB's dovetail channel, which runs around the outside of the rack and along the edges of the internal beams. ARB's BASE Rack accessories clamp into it wherever you want them.
How much weight can it carry?
Each platform has its own ARB payload rating, listed in the specs. Use the lower of that figure and your vehicle maker's roof load limit.
What warranty applies?
ARB covers BASE Rack platforms for 3 years with unlimited miles against defects in materials and workmanship.
