- Sealed against dust and moisture: The compressor is sealed against water and dust, so it holds up mounted under the hood or inside the vehicle.
- Hard-anodized cylinder bore: An anodized bore cuts friction inside the cylinder, which ARB links to a longer working life.
- Teflon-impregnated carbon fiber seal: The piston seal is carbon fiber impregnated with Teflon, chosen by ARB for long, trouble-free running.
- Bracket that draws off heat: The anodized mounting bracket pulls heat away from the motor and lets the compressor rotate 180 degrees to suit the space.
- Thermal and over-pressure protection: Internal thermal protection guards the motor from heat damage, an over-pressure safety valve vents excess pressure, and a maxi-fuse protects the circuit.

Description & Fitment
The CKMA12 is ARB's brushed single-motor on-board compressor for 12V vehicles, built to bolt in permanently under the hood or in the cargo area. ARB rates it at 3.08 CFM free flow and 2.33 CFM at 29 psi, drawing 14.2 A to 25.2 A, with a 100 psi maximum and a 50% duty cycle (30 minutes on, 30 off). In the box: the compressor with its over-pressure valve, bracket and backing plate (also the drilling template), a washable sintered-disc air filter, pressure switch and manifold hardware, a wiring loom with 40 A relay and illuminated ARB dash switch, plus bolts. Inflation accessories and an air tank are optional extras.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check before you buy: your vehicle runs a 12V system and you have a flat mounting spot. For 24V use the CKMA24; for twice the flow see the CKMTA12 or the brushless CKBLA12.
Not for: 24V vehicles, or long air-tool sessions that need a 100% duty cycle.

How long can the CKMA12 run?
ARB rates it at a 50% duty cycle: 30 minutes on, then 30 minutes off to cool.
Is a dash switch included?
Yes. The wiring loom comes with a 40 A relay and an illuminated ARB dash switch.
On-board or portable: which ARB compressor fits my use?
On-board units bolt into the vehicle and are wired in for good, which suits Air Locker activation and quick airing up at every stop. Portable units live in a hard case and clip to the battery, so they move between vehicles and around camp.
Single motor or twin motor?
A twin-motor unit moves about twice the air of the matching single, so large tires fill faster. Single-motor units draw less current and take less space.
Can I run air tools?
ARB says its twin brushed compressors run many air tools when paired with a 4 L air tank. Check your tool's air demand against the compressor's flow figures before you buy.

Yeah great product, I’ll probably
Yeah great product, I’ll probably end up upgrading to the dual compressor but for now this is great. If y’all were to offer your own installation videos that would perfect the install process, had to spend a decent bit of time pulling apart the harness and referencing the wiring diagram to know what’s what. After understanding the wiring the trimming of unused wires and installation as well as hooking up to my switch panel was very straight forward. Great product great performance does all I need for now, only thing is that wiring is not the clearest on hookup/trimming.

Awesome little compressor
I installed this little compressor in my 2000 TJ for airing up 35 inch tires after off road driving. This is the fastest compressor I have ever used, airing up 4 35s in a few minutes. I highly recommend this compressor for it's reliability and compact nature.

wish i would of done is years ago
bought open box and all the parts were with it installed with the Mountain Off-Road Enterprises ARB Air Compressor Mount so I would sit on top of the valve cover for easy access made it easy and painless to install use airline from around town for now and ran down to my fender with a quick coupler so easy air up can take my tires down to 3 psi and will air them back up to 27 psi in around 3 mins compared to my old one that was 7 mins a tire

I purchased this compressor to install in my 1953 M38 Willys Jeep. I go to the beach a lot, so I need it to air up, and I also need it to run a water pump I use to water remote gardens. It works great. Installation was a challenge, but when I had a problem and was stumped, their support line got me back on track. I highly recommend ARB and their Air Compressors. Now, maybe you could make some cool stuff for all of the old Willys Jeeps out there. Thanks

We really liked the ARB
We really liked the ARB twin motor air compressor, it looks well built and instructions are quite thorough. I would have preferred to have the switch wire loom offered with on/off switch separate from the air locker solenoid(s) switch part of loom to simplify wiring work. We have a Jeep Wrangler Rubicon with electronic locking differentials and won’t be using air activated lockers , and plan to unbundle the air locker switch/ solenoid part of loom. Altogether great product!

Well worth it
I've had one of these on the last few vehicles of mine. They are worth every penny. Fairly easy to install as well. Mine is on a 2021 Tacoma. Fills my 31s from 12psi to 37psi in about a minute. Not the quietest compressor around but it's not awful either. Typical ARB build quality as well.

The twin air compress is
The twin air compress is a great addition to my 2023 jeep gladiator. I paired it to the Kraken trie inflation system and the pressure control upgrade kit. I’ve used it a couple of times to deflate and inflate all four of my tires at once. The compressor inflates all four 35” tires from 20 psi to 36 psi in under 10 minutes.

Not well written
Great compressor but has no instructions for using as on board for anything other than lockers. I have electric lockers and just wanted it for air (tools, tires and such) the wiring is not designed for it, the instructions are not, and nothing in the kit or the hose kit worked. Had to go to a hardware store to find and make fittings

a work in progress. Installing the Bronco specific mount was quite a job. The instructions were crap. Found a good Youtube video to help. I didn't plan on getting a manifold. I just wanted to plug right into the compressor. The first time I had to fill my tires, the air hose (NOT ARB hose) melted and the connection blew apart on the second tire. I didn't realize how hot it got. So now I am planning to install the manifold to keep the hose cooler, but now I don't have the mounting bracket, so this should be an exercise in frustration. I think they could offer better descriptions of the product and more quick connect remote placement options. Still I'm sure it will be awesome once I get the bugs worked out. Also a small half gallon tank hidden under the truck would be great.

Strong compressor
Highly effective, great as it has a smaller size which makes it easier to find mounting location. Ended up mounting at the front passenger foot rest, nice and tucked away. Still pretty loud, however only using it intermittently so it is not a problem.

Terrible in so many ways
I have several issues with this product. First, the location where you attach your air fitting is really small. There's no way to get a wrench in there to tighten the fitting down. I tried several fittings. I also bought the associated hose kit, and the fitting is way too large to tighten down with a wrench. Second, this compressor gets really hot. That in and of itself isn't an issue, except that the ARB hose can pop off its fitting when the pump gets too hot. I called ARB and they said not to use that hose attachment. They said they sell something else since the pump gets too hot and someone was burned by it. The guy I talked to at ARB recommended I NOT use their hose kit with this compressor. So, now I just wait long periods of time in between tire fills to allow the pump to cool. I really don't understand how other people are using this pump successfully.

Amazing little compressor
If you’re looking for a fast, heavy-duty, high-quality on-board air compressor than this ARB Twin compressor should be on the top of your list. Right out of the box you can tell that it’s a high quality piece that’s going to live up to the demands. The kit comes with everything to power and control the compressor but if you’re looking to install it under the hood, you’re going to need an aftermarket bracket. I used the one made by M.O.R.E, but if you have a 4-door you can install the compressor under the passenger seat with the Teraflex bracket. If you do plan on installing it under the hood and have a 2012 Jeep, then the space is really tight and you have to be careful of the A/C lines. The M.O.R.E kit comes with a split tube to help protect the lines but they still rest on the heating fins, so you need to keep an eye on it. Also, the height for the valve is tight, the M.O.R.E comes…

Perfect for my Kraken
This has been a great addition to my Jeep. The old knock off single compressor would overheat and leave me stuck waiting on a hot day. The ARB twin easily and quickly inflated all 4 tires (35s) from 15 to 37 PSI in about 8 minutes.

So far so good…
I just installed on a 2022 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon Eco-Diesel behind the front tire on driver side. So if you are using a bracket from Wayalife, it will not fit because the windshield washer storage is on the driver so you cannot use one of the bolts attachment. So the way I did it is drill another hole and did some little bending to make it work. I am still in the process of testing my air compressor but so far it runs perfectly and no leaks. I wish the wire is a little longer where you attach the wiring connector for power.

Would’ve got all star rating, if you didn’t have to buy Additional stuff to make it Complete its task it would be nice if it came with the air chuck. even if it was a cheaper one so that you could pull it from the box hook it up and go.

I tried a small portable air pump like most of you. After spending an hour to air up when I was in Georgia I knew I had to get something better. While there are faster pumps this still gets the job done in about 10 minutes. Also if you have a two door space is limited. Last week when I was in North Carolina and Tennessee I aired down several times and didn’t dread knowing I had to air back up.

ARB Single air compressor
Bought and installed this about a year ago. ( I still need to mount the air hose externally so I don’t have to open the hood each time I need to access) installation of the unit was pretty straightforward and easy to follow, The old Jack mount in my engine compartment was a great spot for me to just install on a flat surface. The unit itself can be altered and adjusted to fit pretty much anywhere. For me, this unit is working out great, I only need it on occasions where I don’t have access tour outside compressor. Fills my 33 inch tires up in about 1 to 3 minutes each depending on how low I dropped my air pressure. The unit does get very HOT when I have to use it for long periods of time. (if I needed this unit every time I went wheeling I would definitely get the twin) great unit, and I’m definitely not disappointed I bought it.

Little blow hard
Mounted under the brake master cylinder, plumbed to a 3 gallon tank, I aired 8 33’s from 18 to 32 psi in 20 minutes. Our other buddy used his Milwaukee, airing 4 tires in the same timeframe.

Great addition
Installed prior to Jamboree in Oct. Worked great to air up after the day on the trails. Wish I had purchased and installed sooner. Mounted under master cylinder on firewall of 2018 JL. Will air up all 4 tires in 5-10 minutes depending on how far deflated. Great piece of mind knowing you don't have to find a gas station or drag around another piece of equipment. Always with you and ready to go.

Great air pump!
Mounted the pump in the storage compartment in the back wired with 8awg wire from the battery. I did that so the length of the wire run would not be an issue. Then ran airline to the under side of the driver seat where I customized a switch panel and hose connection for easy access. I also plumbed in the pressure switch under the seat because most of the wire harness is located there. This setup is ready for when I go to air lockers too

Makes the Day Better
I have used my ARB compressor several times after I installing this on my 2015 JK, . It works a lot better than the portable unit I used before. I am running 31" BFG KO2's and deflate my tires to 20 psi when I am off road. It only takes about two minutes to re-inflate each tire to 38 psi before I get back on pavement. Sure makes the off road ride a lot more enjoyable! Caution! The compressor end of the air hose gets very hot! Hot enough to burn.

Nice Unit
The product is great, but the instructions can be confusing when it come to wiring in the switch. Just know if you are using it to Air up tires then use the Isolator switch set up for the switch.

Works but gets hot
Only used a couple of times so far and works great for the air locker and airing up the tires but does get hot when airing up all four.

On board air
Easy to install does require a separate bracket for bronco. For some reason my kit did not include the hose connection or pressure regulator fitting. Fills my 35s easily

Quality
It's well built and of good quality, not at all like the bargain store compressors.

Arb on board air compressor
The arb on board air compressor is great Although they don't make specialty brackets for my specific tacoma I was able to fabricate one and install the compressor in the desired location it works great and I cant say Enough about it great product all as round would Definitely recommend it

Worth it
For my needs this compressor is great. I have 35s on my jeep, and airing up and down doesn't take long at all. I did have to order a bracket to fit it under the hood.
