The ARB Elements is the fridge freezer you leave outside. Where a standard portable fridge wants a covered load space, the Elements is built from 304 stainless steel with a weatherproof control panel and sealed body so it can live permanently in an open pickup bed, on a boat deck or under a canopy through whatever the weather does. ARB spent three years on it, and the engineering shows in the details: tamperproof cast stainless hinges, anodized latches, ASA corner protection and tamperproof bolts for a permanent mount.
At 63 qt it holds a serious load, split between a main compartment and a separate fruit and dairy compartment, and it runs from 0F to 50F on 12V or 24V DC or 100-240V AC with integrated battery protection. An infinite position gas strut holds the lid wherever you let go of it, an electronic combination lock keeps other hands out, and a recessed rear transmitter feeds the ARB remote monitor so you can watch the temperature without opening anything.

Can I really leave it out in the rain?
That is the entire point of the Elements. The body and lid are 304 stainless steel, the control panel is weatherproof, and ARB designed it to stay mounted in an open pickup bed 365 days a year. It is the only fridge in ARB's range built for that.
How is it different from the ZERO?
Construction and sealing. The ZERO is a powdercoated steel cabinet for covered load spaces and gets to minus 7.6F; the Elements is stainless, weatherproof, has a gas strut lid and a coded lock, and runs 0F to 50F. If your fridge lives under a canopy or in a wagon, the ZERO is the better value. If it lives in an open bed, buy the Elements.
What are the two compartments?
A 13.1"H x 14"W x 18.8"D main compartment and a separate 5.7"H x 14"W x 6.1"D fruit and dairy compartment. Both sit within the one cooling system, so the split is about keeping produce off the bottom of the load rather than running two different temperatures.
What does the lock do?
The control panel takes a programmable four digit code that locks the lid electronically. On a fridge mounted in an open bed at a trailhead or a campsite, it is the difference between a cold drink and a missing one.
What does it draw?
ARB publishes an average of 0.9 Ah, slightly above the ZERO because of the larger cabinet. Integrated battery protection shuts the compressor down before it flattens the battery it is running from, so it is safe to leave connected overnight.
How heavy is it and can one person move it?
The cabinet is 70 lb empty and ships at 93 lb crated. Concealed front and rear carry handles are built in, but at that weight plan on two people to lift it, and use the matched ARB slide or solid mount kit rather than lifting it in and out of the bed repeatedly.

Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.

I really like this mat. I was apprehensive at first but, the mat does a great job of keeping things from sliding around without having to secure it. perfect fit. But i think i will be adding some short screws to secure the mat to the DECKED system.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.

The toolbox is nice. I think Ill get a lot of years of service out of it. I like how the lid opens and the tie downs are a nice touch. It seems to be well built. And tough. Im pleased with my purchase and would buy another one.
