Camp Complete, Start To Finish

ARB runs the Slide Kitchen through a full camp cycle: rolling it out, locking it down, lighting both burners, filling the sink and packing the whole thing back into the vehicle. This is the clearest demonstration of the fifteen-second setup claim, filmed by ARB rather than a reviewer.

The Drawer System It Bolts Into

ARB's tour of the Outback Solutions roller drawer range, the modular system the Slide Kitchen shares its profile and mounting pattern with. Useful if you are planning the rest of the cargo area around the kitchen, because it shows how the modules stack and mount together.

The ARB Story

How a Melbourne driveway operation building bull bars for outback tourers in 1975 became the largest 4x4 accessories maker in the southern hemisphere. Seven minutes filmed by ARB across its own factories and proving grounds, for anyone curious who is behind the gear.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

What do I gain over the 1045mm kitchen?

12.5" more stainless bench (49" against 36.5"), a 12.6 quart sink against 7.3 quart, and a deeper drawer at 5.7" internal height rated to 66 lb instead of 4.3" and 55 lb. The stove is identical: two propane burners at 8,530 BTU/h each.

How much cargo space do I need?

Roughly 53" of usable floor length for the module itself, plus room behind the vehicle for the slides to run fully out. Check the height available under a closed rear door as well, and measure your own vehicle rather than relying on a model-year guide.

Does it stand on its own?

Yes. Once the extension rollers carry it clear of the vehicle and lock, ARB states it is completely freestanding with no support leg needed. Nothing loads onto the tailgate.

What fuel does it use?

Propane, with the hose included and stored in the utensil drawer. The burners light from a 1.5V DC battery igniter rather than a manual pilot.

Can I use it without ARB drawers?

Yes. It is dimensioned on ARB's full-height Outback Solutions drawer profile so it can be built into a drawer system, but ARB supports installing it standalone in a custom build.

How does it ship and how heavy is it?

It ships LTL freight at 197 lb. Plan for a freight delivery appointment and help on both the install day and the delivery day.
