The ARB TRED Pro in Monument Grey/Orange is a pair of recovery boards, the gold standard of the TRED range, built to get a stuck four wheel drive moving again when traction is gone in sand, mud or snow. Each board measures 45.67"L x 12.99"W x 2.56"H, the pair weighs 18.08 lb, and a stacked pair is only 3.35" thick so they store flat against a rack or behind a seat.
What makes a TRED work is the SIPE-LOCK grip profile: ARB shaped the teeth from 3D scans of the tread patterns on the most popular tire brands so the board engages the water evacuation channels on the tire rather than simply being pressed into the mud. ARB rates this model up to 9,900 lb vehicle weight. The TRED Pro formulation is rated by ARB for ambient temperatures from -15°C (5°F) to 70°C (158°F), and the boards carry ARB's published lifetime warranty.
ARB publishes the origin of the TRED Pro in its own words: "Developed and manufactured in Australia, TRED Pro out-performs any other traction aid in the market allowing you to explore with confidence whatever the terrain." That sentence is ARB's, quoted rather than paraphrased, and it applies to the TRED Pro specifically. ARB publishes no origin statement for the TRED HD or TRED GT, so we make none for those.

Features
EXOTRED Dual Composite Construction ARB's patented dual composite build is the reason a Pro board survives the moment a spinning tire finds it. Where a single material board shears its teeth off under wheelspin, the Pro takes the hit and keeps its profile.
Directional Entry And Exit Points The Pro is a directional board. The nodule profile at the entry ramp is shaped differently from the exit end so the tire is gripped as it climbs on and released cleanly as it rolls off, which is what makes a recovery one attempt instead of three.
SIPE-LOCK Grip Profile The patented grip profile is engineered to engage the water evacuation channels on the outer edge of a tire, the sipes, rather than just pressing knobs into rubber. ARB developed the pattern from 3D scans of the most popular tire brands.
Progressive Variable Tooth Design Tooth distribution and shape come from ARB's research across hundreds of tire manufacturers' tread patterns, so traction builds progressively instead of the board either skating or grabbing and stalling.
Rated For -15°C (5°F) Through 70°C (158°F) ARB rates the TRED Pro formulation for ambient temperatures from -15°C (5°F) to 70°C (158°F). That is the published operating window, and it is the reason the board stays usable in snow recoveries as well as sand.
Published Vehicle Weight Rating ARB rates the TRED Pro up to 9,900 lb vehicle weight. We print the figure ARB publishes and nothing more, because a recovery board rating is not something to estimate.
Developed And Manufactured In Australia ARB states that TRED Pro is developed and manufactured in Australia. That is ARB's own published sentence for this product line, and it is not a claim that carries across to the TRED HD or GT, where ARB publishes no origin at all.
Sold As A Pair This part number is a pair of TRED Pro boards in Monument Grey/Orange. A pair recovers two wheels; buyers running a four wheel drive in deep sand often keep two pairs.
Fitment & Compatibility
Use case
Fit
Any four wheel drive, truck, SUV, van or ATV bogged in sand, mud or snow
✓ Fits, universal
Roof rack or bed rack mounting
● Needs TRED mounting pins and baseplate, sold separately
Stacking with other TRED boards for a longer surface
● Pro boards stack; TRED-LINK nesting is a GT and HD feature
Use as a bridging ramp between two fixed points
✗ Not what ARB designed these for
Fit guidance: Recovery boards are universal. There is no vehicle application to check and nothing bolts to the truck. The only thing to plan is where the pair rides when it is not in use, because a wet sandy board does not belong loose in the cabin.

Installation
Type: No installation. Deployment tool used at the point of recovery · Time: Under a minute to deploy once you have cleared in front of the tire · Tools: None required. The shovel end of the board is the digging tool · Difficulty: Easy
Clear sand or mud from in front of the drive wheels with the shovel end, wedge the ramp end firmly under the tire, and drive on with gentle steady throttle. Wheelspin is what destroys recovery boards. Nobody should stand behind or in front of the vehicle during the attempt, and boards should be leashed if you want to find them afterwards.

About ARB
ARB started in 1975 in a Melbourne garage, when Tony Brown began building bull bars for the four wheel drives crossing Australia's outback, and it has grown into the largest 4x4 accessories maker in the southern hemisphere. TRED joined that range as ARB's recovery board line, and it is the part of the catalogue where a single component decides whether a day ends at camp or on the end of a strap.
In North America ARB operates from Auburn, Washington as Air Locker Inc., backing every product with a US warranty program. Prestige Truck is an authorized ARB dealer. Every board and mount we ship is a genuine US-market TRED product covered by the warranty term ARB publishes for it.
The TRED Difference
ARB walks through what separates a TRED Pro from a generic traction board: the dual composite construction, the tooth geometry, and the testing behind both.
Under ninety seconds, and it answers the question most people actually have, which is whether the price difference buys anything real.
TRED Pro In Detail
The long form film on the TRED Pro, covering the EXOTRED construction, the directional entry and exit design, and the shovel and handle changes over the previous generation.
Filmed by ARB, and worth the four minutes if you are choosing between the Pro and the cheaper boards in the range.
The ARB Story
How a Melbourne garage operation building bull bars for outback tourers in 1975 became the southern hemisphere's biggest 4x4 accessories maker.
Seven minutes on the company behind this product, filmed by ARB itself across its Australian factories and proving grounds.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Will the TRED Pro fit my truck?
Recovery boards are not a fitted part. There is no vehicle application to match: they go under a tire, not on the vehicle. The only fitment question is storage, and mounting to a roof rack or bed rack needs the TRED mounting pins and baseplate, which are separate part numbers.
What is the difference between TRED Pro, HD and GT?
Pro is the top of the range: EXOTRED dual composite construction, directional entry and exit ends, and a 9,900 lb rating. HD is engineered nylon, slightly smaller and lighter, and nests with GT boards. GT is automotive grade polypropylene, the lightest and most affordable, rated to 8,800 lb, with a narrower published temperature window. All three share the SIPE-LOCK grip profile.
How many do I need?
This part number is one pair, which recovers the two wheels you put them under. That is enough for most bogged situations because you only need to get moving. People who spend real time in soft sand or deep snow commonly carry two pairs so all four wheels can be supported.
What is the vehicle weight rating?
ARB rates the TRED Pro up to 9,900 lb vehicle weight. Match that against your vehicle's loaded weight, not its curb weight, and remember the boards carry the wheels that are actually on them rather than the whole vehicle at once.
Will they survive wheelspin?
Better than anything else in the range, which is the point of the EXOTRED dual composite construction: ARB built it specifically so the ramp and teeth do not suffer instant catastrophic damage under wheelspin. Technique still matters. Ease onto the boards rather than flooring it.
What is the warranty?
ARB publishes a lifetime warranty on TRED recovery boards. Note that the TRED mounting accessories, pins, baseplates and leashes are a separate 1 year term, so do not assume the board warranty covers the hardware. On origin, ARB publishes TRED Pro as developed and manufactured in Australia; it makes no such statement for the HD or GT lines and neither do we.

Look is great. 100 lbs
Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.

A must have
I really like this mat. I was apprehensive at first but, the mat does a great job of keeping things from sliding around without having to secure it. perfect fit. But i think i will be adding some short screws to secure the mat to the DECKED system.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.

The toolbox is nice. I
The toolbox is nice. I think Ill get a lot of years of service out of it. I like how the lid opens and the tie downs are a nice touch. It seems to be well built. And tough. Im pleased with my purchase and would buy another one.
