Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

Which fridge does this fit?

ARB the 73 qt ZERO dual zone fridge freezer. It is cut for that cabinet only. The openings are placed for that model's handle, control panel, power inlets and drain, so a bag from elsewhere in the range will cover something you need to reach.

Does it actually help the fridge run better?

Yes, and that is ARB's own claim for it: the added insulating layer slows heat getting in, so the compressor cycles less to hold the same temperature. On a hot day parked in the sun that is a measurable saving on what the fridge pulls from your battery.

Can I use the fridge with the bag on?

That is the whole design. The control panel is left unobstructed, the power inlets and drain have their own openings, and the lid flaps are magnetic so you fold them back rather than unzipping anything. The bag goes on once and stays there.

Is it waterproof?

No, and ARB does not claim it is. It is a protective and insulating cover made from polyester, designed for dust, scuffs, knocks and heat. If your fridge lives permanently in an open bed exposed to weather, the product built for that is the stainless Elements fridge, not a fabric bag over a standard cabinet.

What comes with it?

The bag, which is in two pieces for this cabinet, and an ARB branded bottle opener. The bag has zip pockets on the sides for the DC and AC leads and a dedicated pocket for the opener.

Will it fit over the fridge while it is on a slide?

Yes, the bag is fitted to the cabinet rather than to any mounting hardware, so it works with the fridge sitting loose, strapped down or mounted on the matching ARB slide. Check the bag is not fouling the slide latch before you close the tray for the first time.
