The Original rack pairs tall square steel posts with full-width flat bars in 12-gauge steel, keeping the cab guarded and the rear glass open to view. The slim flat bars leave nearly the whole rear window clear for a backward glance. Choose from black powder coat. Part 15034 fits 2022-2026 Nissan Frontier.
This frame ships without mounting hardware, so every rack needs a separately sold BackRack installation kit. Choose the kit for your truck and for what sits in your bed from the table below.
What's Included:
- Original headache rack frame (rack only)
Mounting hardware is not included. Order the BackRack installation kit for your truck and bed setup separately.
Features
Slim flat bars keep the view
Two square posts and horizontal flat bars cover the cab without boxing in the rear window. You keep a clear look back through the glass while cargo stays off the cab.
12-gauge steel throughout
The frame is built from 12-gauge steel, and the flat bar ends are welded closed rather than capped with plastic plugs.
Made to tie down to
A strap or bungee wraps straight around the flat bar, and ladders or long boards rest between the uprights. Shifting loads meet the rack before they reach the cab.
Low enough to park anywhere
Unlike a full ladder rack, the Original sits just above the cab line, so the truck still clears a garage door or parking deck.
Works with toolboxes and covers
Separate BackRack kits set the rack alongside a crossover toolbox or a compatible tonneau cover, so you are not forced to choose between them.
Platform for lights and accessories
BackRack light brackets, antenna brackets, tool holders and side rails bolt to the frame when you need more from it.

Installation
Type: Bolt-on headache rack frame · Install: Front stake pockets with a separate BackRack kit · Tools: Basic hand tools
The frame anchors at the front stake pockets of the bed through a BackRack installation kit made for your truck. Standard and crossover toolbox kits avoid drilling on most late-model trucks, while the low-profile toolbox kit drills through the bed rail so the box can sit flush. Tonneau adapter kits raise the rack to clear a cover that clamps to the bed rail.

About BackRack
BackRack builds steel headache racks that stand between the truck bed and the cab, guarding the rear window and cab from cargo that slides forward. The racks are made for trucks that work hard during the week and still need to look sharp when the job is done.
Every BackRack frame mounts to the bed through a truck-specific installation kit. Separate kits let the rack live alongside a crossover toolbox, a bedliner or a tonneau cover that clamps to the inside of the bed rail.
Because a BackRack sits low behind the cab, the truck still fits in a home garage and multi-level parking. Light brackets, tool holders, side rails and a rear bar turn the same frame into a platform for lights, long loads and gear, and the steel is finished in a powder coat applied in house.
