The posts are cut shorter than the standard Original, so the rack sits near cab height once a tonneau adapter raises it above the cover.
Built around tonneau adapters
It is designed to ride on BackRack's wide top-of-rail tonneau adapter, giving a covered bed a cab guard that still fits the truck's profile. That adapter is not offered for every truck.
Same flat bar layout
Horizontal flat bars between square posts protect the cab from shifting cargo and give tie-downs a place to hook.

The frame anchors at the front stake pockets of the bed through a BackRack installation kit made for your truck. Standard and crossover toolbox kits avoid drilling on most late-model trucks, while the low-profile toolbox kit drills through the bed rail so the box can sit flush. Tonneau adapter kits raise the rack to clear a cover that clamps to the bed rail.

Warranty. BackRack backs this rack with a 1-year limited warranty covering workmanship. The powder coat finish itself is not covered by the warranty. Inspect on delivery. Inspect the carton and the frame as soon as it arrives, and note any shipping damage with the carrier before you sign or begin the install.
