Does this kit include the headache rack?

No. This is the mounting hardware only. Choose a BackRack frame sized for your cab, then pair it with the standard kit listed for your truck.

When do I need the standard kit instead of a toolbox kit?

Choose the standard kit when nothing sits across the bed behind the cab. If you run a 21" or 31" crossover toolbox, the toolbox or low profile kit is the one to buy.

Can I use a tonneau cover with the standard kit?

A tonneau cover needs one of the BackRack tonneau cover adapter kits, sold separately for inside rail and top of rail covers. Check the adapter listing for your truck before you buy.

Will I have to drill my truck?

That depends on the truck. The instructions for each kit spell out the bed preparation for that application, so review the sheet for this part before you start.

Does the finish matter?

Match the kit to your frame's finish. The finish choices on this page are the ones this kit is sold in, and every one is powder coated steel.
