BackRack Three Round Headache Rack: A black headache rack with groups of vertical bars on each side and an open center, shown on a white background.

A bold bar-style guard

Round steel bars on each side give the back of the cab a strong, industrial look that fits a hard-working truck.

BackRack Three Round Headache Rack: Close-up of a black headache rack lower corner with vertical bars and a RealTruck BackRack product plate.

Protection with an open middle

The bars block loads at the sides while the center stays clear for the third brake light and your view to the rear.

BackRack Three Round Headache Rack: Front view of a black headache rack with vertical bars on each side and an open center on a white background.

Built for daily hauling

From ladders to lumber, the Three Round carries long stock over the cab and keeps it from sliding into the glass.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

Which installation kit do I need?

The Three Round frame needs one BackRack installation kit, sold separately. Use the kit table on this page: pick the standard kit for an open bed, a 21" or 31" crossover toolbox kit if you run a toolbox, the low-profile kit to set a toolbox flush with the bed, or a tonneau adapter kit if you have a cover.

Will I have to drill into my truck?

On most late-model trucks the standard and crossover toolbox kits mount with no drilling. The low-profile toolbox kit needs two holes drilled on each side of the bed rail, and trucks without front stake pockets generally need drilling.

Does it work with a tonneau cover?

Yes, with a BackRack tonneau adapter kit. Inside-rail kits suit covers that clamp to the inside lip of the bed, top-of-rail kits suit covers that sit on the rail, and some covers are not compatible, so check the kit table for your truck.

How is it different from the Three Light rack?

Both share an open center. The Three Round uses round steel bars in the side sections, while the Three Light has pockets for oval trailer lights.

Can I see through it?

Yes. Spaced round bars and an open center leave much of the rear window visible, though the gaps will not stop small items.

Is anything left out of the box?

Yes. The frame comes as a rack only. Brackets, stake pocket bolts and hardware are in the installation kit you order separately.
