Does this kit include the headache rack?

No. It is the mounting kit only. Choose a BackRack frame for your cab, then this adapter for your truck and cover style.

Do I also need the standard installation kit?

No. The tonneau adapter replaces the standard kit for a tonneau setup.

Which cover mount do I need?

Look at how your tonneau attaches. Covers that clamp inside the bed rails use the inside rail adapter; covers that sit on top of the rails use the top of rail adapter.

Will the rack sit higher with a tonneau?

The top of rail adapter raises the cab guard by 2" so it clears the cover. The inside rail adapter is the lower option.

Will it work with my brand of tonneau cover?

The adapters suit most tonneau cover brands. Confirm your cover's mount style and check its clearance at the front of the bed before ordering.

Can I use a crossover toolbox with this setup?

No. The toolbox and low profile kits are not compatible with the tonneau adapter brackets, so a tonneau setup has no crossover toolbox.
