These are auxiliary off-road lights, not SAE or DOT reverse lamps. Baja Designs rates its non-SAE lights for off-road use only, so check your local laws before using them on the street, and keep them off while driving forward on the road.
Do the lights come on automatically in reverse?
Only on kits built with a reverse-triggered trailer harness. Other kits use a toggle or factory upfitter switch. The Wiring Type option and fit notes show which this kit uses.

Baja Designs Backup Lights
Excellent placement on my 2018 Raptor. All wiring was pre cut to correct length which made installation a breeze. They definitely brighten up behind the truck when in reverse and make the resolution of the rear view camera much clearer.
