Description & Fitment
Built for the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma (6'2" bed), this BAK set replaces both rails under a Revolver X4ts cover. BAK's sheet for this Tacoma fastens the rails into the factory deck-rail holes with S clamps, then the deck rails go back on. BAK adds spacer and angle shims where the truck needs them. Clamps are not included.

Check your bed: measure along the bed rail from the bulkhead to the inside of the closed tailgate. This part is for the 6'2" bed on the 2005-2015 Toyota Tacoma; BAK lists the bed by that label and publishes no inch figure. Fit notes from BAK: with the factory deck rail system (2005-2015 Tacoma).

Yes. BAK's rail sheet starts with the cover off the truck and the old rails removed, then the new rails clamp on and the cover goes back on and is squared up.
Are X4ts rails the same as X4s rails?
No. BAK lists separate rail sets for the X4ts (with the T-slot) and the X4s, at the same truck and bed. Order the set that matches your cover.
Installation
- T-30 Torx socket
- Drill or socket wrench

- 1/8" Allen wrench
Here's the short version of swapping rails on an existing Revolver, from the first steps of BAK's sheet for this truck. Keep the S clamps, screws and cargo rails you remove; they go back on.
- Take the cover off. Open the cover, remove the knobs and washers under the slotted brackets (keep them) and lift the cover off with its mounting bolts.
- Remove the old rails. Take off the cargo rails with their strap clamp assemblies and screws, then the old cover rails with their S clamps, and keep all of it.
- Fit the end caps. Put one end cap on the cab end of each new cover rail and tighten its set screw with a 1/8" Allen wrench.
- Mount the rail. Fit the S clamps and bolts onto the rail, set it pushed tight against the front cargo rail and clear of the tailgate, and leave it loose. Wedge a Z-brace between the rail and the truck cap to steady the rail when the cover latches.
- Refit the cargo rail and seal. Mount the cargo rail with its strap clamp assembly through the lower hole of the S clamps and tighten the bolts and Torx screws to 7.5 Nm (6 ft-lb). Cut the 6" seal piece in half, angle one end to match the bed, and stick it under the rail near the tailgate. Repeat on the driver side.
- Lock it in. Roll the cover open without knocking it out of line and tighten the knobs by hand only. Close it and check the locking levers hold it down on both sides. Refit the cover first: rest it on the rails, drop in the mounting bolts, fit the knobs loosely, line it up with about 1/8" (3.2 mm) on each side.
