The BEDSLIDE 1000 Classic is the original slide-out truck bed cargo tray, and this is the 79" x 48" version. BEDSLIDE lists this size for F250 / F350 SuperDuty 6.9' Bed (1998-Current), so if you run one of those trucks this is the tray that was sized for it. The deck runs out to 75% of its length on cam-follower bearings, so the load comes to you at the tailgate instead of you climbing over the rail to get at whatever slid to the bulkhead. It is rated to 1,000 lb evenly distributed, the deck is BEDSLIDE's WEATHERDECK composite rather than plywood, and the full perimeter guardrail kit, the BEDTRAX T-slot rails and four D-ring tie-downs are all in the box rather than on the options list. It sits 4.5" above the bed floor and locks in multiple positions, so you can run it part way out and leave it there under load. Choose the bright anodized Silver finish or the powder coated Black Edition from the variant selector; the tray underneath is identical.

Features
1,000 lb of Evenly Distributed Capacity The 1000 Classic is rated to carry 1,000 lb spread across the deck. Evenly distributed is the operative phrase and it is worth reading literally: the rating assumes the load is spread over the tray rather than stacked on one corner or concentrated over the extended end. Loaded that way, this tray will take the gear most trucks actually carry, from tool boxes and coolers to camp kit and building supplies.
75% Extension That Brings the Load to You The deck runs out to 75% of its length, so the load comes to you at the tailgate instead of you climbing over the rail to reach the bulkhead. BEDSLIDE runs 75% on the 1000 Classic, the 1500 Contractor and the 2000 Heavy Duty alike; it does not scale with capacity. If you want the deck to come all the way out, that is the MAX Extension range.
WEATHERDECK Composite Deck The deck is BEDSLIDE's own WEATHERDECK composite rather than plywood or bare steel. It lives outdoors for its entire life, so it is built not to swell, rot or de-laminate when it gets rained on, loaded wet or hosed out. It also takes a textured surface that stops light loads sliding around on the tray.
BEDTRAX Rails and Four D-Ring Tie-Downs BEDTRAX T-slot rails run the length of the deck with four D-ring tie-downs supplied, so you can strap a load down properly instead of hoping it stays put. The rails also take the BEDSLIDE accessory range, including the BedBin storage boxes, if you want to divide the tray up later.
Full Perimeter Guardrail Included The guardrail kit is in the box, not an upsell. It runs the full perimeter of the deck, so loose cargo stays on the tray while it is moving and while it is running in and out.
Cam-Follower Bearings and Multiple Locking Positions The tray rides on (2) 3,282 lb static rated cam-follower bearings on the load bearing end with (2) sealed ball roller guide bearings. It locks in multiple positions rather than only open or shut, so you can pull it out as far as the job needs and leave it there under load.
Black Edition or Silver, Same Tray The two finishes are the same slide. Silver leaves the frame and rails in bright anodized aluminum; the Black Edition powder coats them to match a black bed. Capacity, extension, bearings, deck and warranty are identical, so choose on looks and pick the finish from the variant selector above.
Made in the USA and Backed for the Long Term BEDSLIDE builds these in the USA and backs them with a 5 year warranty as standard, which becomes a lifetime warranty if you register the product within 30 days of purchase. The lifetime cover stays with the original owner and does not transfer if the truck is sold.

Fit guidance: BEDSLIDE is fitted by bed size rather than by a vehicle specific kit. The trucks above are the applications BEDSLIDE lists for the 79" x 48" tray in its own Application Guide. BEDSLIDE sizes are OUTER dimensions, they include the handle, and the trays are built to a .25" tolerance. Measure the inside of your own bed floor before ordering rather than relying on the model year alone, because bed liners, bed mats, wheel well intrusions and factory tie-down hardware all change the space a tray actually has to sit in.

Installation
Type: Bolt-in to the truck bed floor · Time: About 1 hour · Tools: Socket set, drill and bits for a standard drill-in installation, tape measure, and a second person to lift the tray into the bed · Difficulty: Intermediate. BEDSLIDE recommends having a dealer carry out the installation
Measure the inside of the bed floor and dry fit the rails before committing to any holes. BEDSLIDE specifically advises against installing over a bed liner, because liners vary in thickness and profile and the tray may need adjusting to sit flat and run true. On an aluminum bed, use BEDSLIDE's aluminum bed kit, part BSA-HALUMKT: fastening steel directly to an aluminum bed invites galvanic corrosion, and BEDSLIDE's warranty excludes corrosion caused by improper installation. The tray weighs 190 lb, so lift it in with two people and check the deck runs cleanly through its full travel and latches in every position before you load it.

About BEDSLIDE
BEDSLIDE invented this product category. The company has been building slide-out truck bed cargo trays in the USA since the 1990s, and the design that everyone else copied, a rolling deck on cam-follower bearings that pulls the load out to the tailgate, is theirs. BEDSLIDE is part of the LEER and JB Poindexter family of truck equipment brands, and it is a member of the NTEA, the association for the work truck industry, which is the room its commercial and fleet products are built for.
The range is deliberately narrow and deep. There are four slide series, the 1000 Classic, the 1500 Contractor, the 2000 Heavy Duty and the MAX Extension models, and each one is offered across sixteen deck sizes so the tray matches the bed rather than the bed being asked to accept a compromise. Every slide gets the same core build: a WEATHERDECK composite deck that is made to live outdoors, BEDTRAX T-slot rails with D-ring tie-downs, a full perimeter guardrail kit in the box, and a frame built to be loaded rather than to look loaded. Everything is made in the USA.
Prestige Truck is an authorized BEDSLIDE dealer. Every slide we ship is new, factory packed and covered by the full BEDSLIDE factory warranty, and registering it within 30 days of purchase is what upgrades the standard 5 year cover to the lifetime term on the series that offer it.
BEDSLIDE Silver And Black Editions
BEDSLIDE made this one specifically to answer the question this product page raises: what is actually different between the Silver and the Black Edition.
The short answer is the finish on the frame and rails and nothing else, and the video shows both trays side by side so you can decide which one you want in your bed.
BEDSLIDE LifeTime Warranty
BEDSLIDE walks through how the warranty works, including the part that catches people out.
Every slide carries 5 years as standard, and registering the product within 30 days of purchase is what upgrades it to the lifetime term. It stays with the original owner and does not transfer if you sell the truck.

Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Will the 79" x 48" fit my truck?
BEDSLIDE lists this size for F250 / F350 SuperDuty 6.9' Bed (1998-Current). That said, BEDSLIDE fits by bed size and not by a vehicle specific kit, and the 79" x 48" figure is the OUTER dimension of the tray including the handle, built to a .25" tolerance. Measure the inside of your bed floor before you order. Bed liners, bed mats, wheel well intrusions and factory tie-down hardware all eat into the space the tray needs, and a drop-in liner in particular can be the difference between a fit and a return.
How far does it actually slide out?
75% of the deck length. That applies to the 1000 Classic, the 1500 Contractor and the 2000 Heavy Duty equally, so do not assume the higher capacity trays reach further, because they do not. If you want the deck to come all the way out, that is the MAX Extension range, which extends 100% and sits on a 7" profile rather than 4.5".
What does 1,000 lb capacity actually mean?
It means 1,000 lb spread evenly across the deck, which is how BEDSLIDE rates it and how the bearings are designed to see the load. It does not mean 1,000 lb stacked on one corner, and it does not mean 1,000 lb concentrated on the end of the deck at full extension, which is the worst case for any slide. Load it flat and load it spread out and this tray will do the rated number all day. Overloading it, or point loading it, is one of the things BEDSLIDE's warranty specifically excludes.
How does the warranty work?
Every BEDSLIDE comes with 5 years as standard, and registering the product with BEDSLIDE within 30 days of purchase upgrades that to a lifetime warranty. It is worth doing on the day it arrives, because the 30 day window is the whole condition. The lifetime cover stays with the original owner and does not transfer on resale. BEDSLIDE excludes misuse, exceeding the rated capacity, corrosion of the steel frame caused by exposure, de-lamination of the deck from water fuel or chemical spills, modifications that alter the design, improper installation, accidents and lack of maintenance.
How hard is it to install?
Reckon on about an hour, and get a second pair of hands because the tray weighs 190 lb and wants to go in square. It is a bolt-in installation into the bed floor. BEDSLIDE recommends a dealer install, and there are two traps worth knowing about: installing over a bed liner is not recommended because liners vary and the tray may need adjusting to sit right, and on an aluminum bed you need BEDSLIDE's aluminum bed kit, part BSA-HALUMKT, or the dissimilar metals will corrode.
What is the difference between the Silver and the Black Edition?
Finish only. Silver leaves the frame, the side rails, the guardrail and the BEDTRAX rails in bright anodized aluminum. The Black Edition powder coats those same parts black to match a black bed or a black liner. The deck, the capacity, the extension, the bearings, the tie-downs and the warranty are identical, and so is the installation. Pick whichever one you would rather look at. The photographs in this listing are labelled by finish, and the Black Edition frames and the Silver frames are both shown so you can see the actual difference before you choose.

Look is great. 100 lbs
Look is great. 100 lbs lighter than my 2nd pick. Lid lock and opening are smooth. Only minor knock I give is the the tie down hooks are hard to install - thinking I should have done them before installing.

A must have
I really like this mat. I was apprehensive at first but, the mat does a great job of keeping things from sliding around without having to secure it. perfect fit. But i think i will be adding some short screws to secure the mat to the DECKED system.

I never knew how much I needed this
As with all BAK covers, the quality is amazing. What I didnt fully appreciate until installing was the ease of opening - especially in a lifted truck. No more need to find the right handhold. Just roll it back with a single hand. Its also great to see out of my rear window when fully open - something you lose with the fold back covers. Customer service is awesome. I has an installation question and the representative stayed on the line as I adjusted an alignment to ensure I did it properly.

Better then expected.
Searched for about 6 months to find the tonneau cover. I really wanted the security of a hard top without sticking above the bed rails it checked those boxes. I also did not want to drill my truck bed. The install was super simple my wife and I had it on the truck in about a half an hour.
