The Classic guardrail upgrade kit adds a pair of perimeter rails to a BEDSLIDE deck that did not come with them. Guardrails do the obvious job of stopping cargo walking off the side of the deck when the slide is rolled out, but the reason to fit them now is the T-slot track built into the rail. That track is what the BEDBIN Side Kix and the upper BEDBIN trays hang from, and it takes D-ring tie-downs anywhere along its length, so a guardrail kit is the gateway to most of the BEDSLIDE accessory range rather than just a safety rail. This is the BSA-GRK60 version, which BEDSLIDE sizes for 79" to 70" applications. The kit is (2) guardrails and (2) towers, and it hand-tightens into the existing T-slot on the deck. Guardrails are already included on CLS part numbers released from 1 October 2018 onward, so this kit is for decks built before that.

Keeps Cargo on the Deck
The rails run the length of the deck and give a loose load something to lean on when the slide is rolled all the way out. That is the whole reason guardrails exist and it is still the main one.

T-Slot Track Is the Real Upgrade
The guardrail is not a plain bar. It carries a T-slot track along its length, which is what the BEDBIN Side Kix bins and the upper BEDBIN trays mount to, and what D-ring tie-downs slide into. Fitting guardrails is what makes most of the BEDSLIDE accessory range available to an older deck.

Fit guidance: This listing is the BSA-GRK60, which BEDSLIDE sizes for 79" to 70" applications. Two compatibility points matter more than deck length. First, the kit is not compatible with 2015 and earlier generation BEDSLIDE models, so check the age of your deck before ordering. Second, guardrails have been included on CLS part numbers released from 1 October 2018 onward, so a recent slide almost certainly already has them. Deck sizes are outer dimensions built to a .25" tolerance, so measure your own slide rather than assuming the nominal size.

Set the towers into the T-slot track, drop the rails onto them and hand-tighten. Nothing is drilled and the slide does not have to come out of the truck. Which guardrail kit do I need?

This listing is the BSA-GRK60, for 79" to 70" applications. Deck sizes are outer dimensions built to a .25" tolerance, so measure rather than assume.

Does my BEDSLIDE already have guardrails?

Probably, if it is recent. BEDSLIDE has included a full perimeter guardrail kit on CLS part numbers released from 1 October 2018 onward, and current CLASSIC, CONTRACTOR, HEAVY DUTY and MAX slides all ship with one. This upgrade kit is for older decks that went out without rails.

Will it fit an older BEDSLIDE?

Up to a point. The kit is not compatible with 2015 and earlier generation BEDSLIDE models, which is BEDSLIDE's own cutoff. If your deck predates that generation there is no guardrail kit for it.

What can I mount to the guardrail once it is on?
