See it on a truck

Big sound, quiet cab

ATAK gives the truck Borla's most aggressive exhaust note, full and assertive under load. Borla tunes each Mid-Section so drone stays out of the cab, which matters on trucks that spend long hours on the highway.

Where the sound is shaped

The mufflers and center piping do most of the work of shaping an exhaust note, and that is the section this assembly replaces. It is built from mandrel-bent T-304 stainless steel on CNC equipment so it lines up with the factory system around it.

Keep the factory look

Because the assembly connects to the factory tail pipes, the rear of the truck can stay stock. Borla tail pipes in several finishes are available separately if you want to change the exits later.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

What does a Mid-Section replace?

The mufflers and center piping between the catalytic converters and the tail pipes. The tail pipes themselves are not part of the assembly.

Do I need new tail pipes?

No. Each assembly works with the factory tail pipes. Borla tail pipes or tips are sold separately if you want to change the look at the rear.

How loud is ATAK?

ATAK is the loudest of Borla's three sound levels, ahead of S-Type and Touring.

Will the cab drone?

Borla states these ATAK Mid-Sections have no drone inside the vehicle.

What about trucks with active exhaust valves?

Some assemblies in this group work with the truck's factory valves. Whether this one does is stated in the fit notes. Valves and actuators carry a one-year warranty term.

What does the warranty cover?

The Million-Mile Warranty covers material and workmanship defects for the original buyer on the original vehicle. Sound level and installation costs are not covered.
