ATAK Axle-Back systems bring Borla's loudest sound level to the rear of the exhaust. ATAK muffler technology, mandrel-bent T-304 stainless steel and a vehicle-specific design make this the boldest Borla option short of a full Cat-Back.
Installation is not included, and any optional Borla part called out in the fit notes is sold separately.
Features
Maximum Borla volume
ATAK is the loudest of Borla's three sound levels, an aggressive, full exhaust note.
ATAK core technology
ATAK stands for Acoustically-Tuned Applied Kinetics. ATAK mufflers hold several solid and perforated cores, and Borla uses computer modeling to adjust their shapes and perforation patterns until the note is right for the vehicle.
Axle-back scope, lower cost
An Axle-Back system replaces the mufflers, rear piping and tips from the rear axle back. It costs less than a full Cat-Back and still gives a distinct Borla note, though with a less full-bodied sound.
Mandrel-bent T-304 stainless steel
Mandrel bends keep the tube round through every curve, and the T-304 austenitic alloy holds up to heat and road salt better than 409 or aluminized steel.
Precise CNC manufacturing
Computer numerical control production keeps each bend and flange accurate to the vehicle the system was built around.
Covered by the Million-Mile Warranty
Materials and workmanship are covered for the original buyer on the original vehicle; finishes and moving parts carry a one-year term.

Installation
Type: Axle-Back exhaust system · Install: vehicle-specific; method varies by application · Tools: listed on the Borla install sheet
ATAK Axle-Back systems replace only the rear exhaust section. Installation differs by vehicle, and some require removing or modifying a factory component, so the fit notes and install sheet are the reference for each application.
Warranty, Shipping & Returns
Warranty. Borla covers its products under the Million-Mile Warranty, which protects the original purchaser of record, on the vehicle the part was first installed on, against defects in materials or workmanship for a million miles. Carbon fiber, black coatings, tip finishes and moving parts such as valves and actuators carry a one-year term, and appearance blemishes from weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance or temperature extremes are not covered. When Borla's inspection confirms a defect, Borla repairs or replaces the part at its option. The warranty does not pay for removal or reinstallation, does not apply to parts damaged by accident, abuse, misuse, misapplication or modification, and does not cover sound level, because sound is a matter of taste. Shipping. The carrier and ship method are set by the size and weight of the carton when the order is placed; long exhaust systems ship in oversize cartons. Inspect on delivery. When the carton arrives, open it and check every pipe, muffler, clamp and hanger against the parts list before you start the install, and report any shipping damage right away with photos.
Returns. Unused items in their original packaging can be returned within 30 days of delivery. If an item arrives damaged, defective or wrong, return shipping is on us. See our Returns & Refunds Policy, or email support@prestigetruck.com with any question.
About Borla
Borla began in 1978 building stainless exhaust systems for concours Rolls-Royce and Ferrari restorations, and the company has grown into a leading name in stainless performance exhaust for cars and vehicles.
Each Borla system starts as a clean-sheet design for one vehicle. Engineers at the research and development center in Oxnard, California shape the muffler bodies, internal cores and flow paths around that platform's own mechanical and acoustic traits, then offer the result in a choice of Touring, S-Type or ATAK sound.
Production happens at a 100-acre plant in Johnson City, Tennessee, where raw stainless steel is cut, bent, welded and shipped. Borla also supplies factory-installed accessory exhaust to automakers such as GM, Ford and Toyota.
