Description & Fitment
Tail pipe kit 60743 fits the 2024-2026 Ford Ranger Raptor 3.0L and works with either Borla mid-section 60742 or the factory muffler assembly. Each 2.75" tail pipe ends in a single 4" round tip, for a split rear exit. Pick the tip finish: black chrome (60743BC), Brawler black-coated (60743BRCB) or carbon fiber with black anodized trim (60743CFBA). Borla's tail pipes come with heat shields and leave out the resonators found in the factory pipes. On black chrome, Borla advises a microfiber cloth and hot water rather than its stainless polish.

No. Borla says it fits either its 60742 mid-section or the factory mid-section and muffler assembly.
Do I need the Borla Mid-Section too?
No. Each kit fits either the Borla Mid-Section made for that truck or the factory mid-section and mufflers, so you can buy the two parts together or one at a time.
Will these change the sound?
Borla notes that the factory tail pipes on these trucks carry resonators and its tail pipes do not, so swapping them in raises the sound level somewhat.
How should I clean black chrome tips?
Borla says not to use its stainless steel polish on black chrome tips. Use hot water and a soft microfiber cloth on them instead.
Are the tips covered for a million miles too?
No. Under Borla's warranty, tip finishes, black coatings and carbon fiber carry a one-year term, and wear from weather, road hazards or temperature extremes is not covered. The million-mile term covers defects in the materials and workmanship of the part itself.
Installation
Here's the short version. Follow Borla's install sheet (below) for your vehicle's exact steps.
- Lubricate all hangers, rubber isolators, bolts and nuts.
- Loosen clamp that attaches the driver side tailpipe to the over axle pipe.
- Remove the hardware that attaches the original rubber isolator assembly to the vehicle. Lift up to release the hook on the original rubber isolator assembly and remove the driver side tailpipe from the vehicle. Save hardware and isolator for re-installation.
- Repeat Steps 2-3 to remove the passenger side tailpipe assembly.
- Loosen clamp that attaches the driver side over axle pipe to the muffler assembly.
- Remove the hardware that attaches the original center rubber isolator assembly to the vehicle. Lift the isolator assembly upward so that it releases from the frame and remove the driver side over axle pipe. Save hardware and isolator for re-installation.

Borla's Million-Mile Warranty covers this part for one million miles against flaws in its materials or workmanship.- Coverage belongs to the original purchaser of record, on the vehicle the part was first installed on.
- Black coatings, tip finishes, carbon fiber and moving parts such as valves and actuators carry a one-year term. Blemishes or marring caused by weather, road hazards, lack of maintenance or extreme heat or cold are not covered.
- Borla inspects the returned part, and when it finds a manufacturing or material defect it repairs or replaces the part, at Borla's option.
- Sound level is not warranted, since sound is a matter of taste. Borla notes that venturis can be fitted to quiet a system.
- Universal mufflers must be joined at their inlet and outlet necks. Welding to the case shell or end caps voids the warranty.
- Not covered: the cost of removal or reinstallation; damage from accident, abuse, misuse or misapplication; parts that are modified or used for something other than their intended purpose; racing products, and street parts used for racing.
- To claim, contact us first with your order number and a short description of the problem. Borla asks for proof of the retail purchase date, and your Prestige Truck receipt is that proof. A part sent back to Borla travels with freight prepaid by the sender, packed well, since Borla cannot accept parts damaged in transit.
