- Load Bar Unit Only: This is the load bar and hydraulic half of B&W's Continuum hitch, sold on its own. It works with a Continuum head unit in your receiver.
- Composite Bars for 600-1,600 lb: The tapered composite spring bars use LITEFLEX technology from Hendrickson, a maker of heavy truck suspensions, and one set covers 600 to 1,600 lb of tongue weight.
- Hydraulic Pump and Cylinder: The unit carries the hydraulic pump and cylinder that load the bars. Pump to the pressure you want, read the gauge, and twist the needle valve knob by hand to release.
- Standard or Underslung Coupler: B&W makes two versions: one for standard couplers and one with a hydraulic cylinder extension for underslung couplers.
- Always Loaded Sway Prevention: Because the bars stay loaded instead of latching in and out, the friction that resists sway works the moment you pull away.
- Removable When Not Needed: The spring bar assembly lifts off when the trailer behind you needs no weight distribution.

Towing with an underslung coupler? WDHL4511 is the Continuum load bar unit that adds a hydraulic cylinder extension to the composite bars, pump and cylinder. B&W pairs it with a head unit in kits WDHK4501, WDHK4503, WDHK4505, WDHK4507, WDHK4513, WDHK4515.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check your fit: a trailer with an A-frame and an underslung coupler, tongue weight between 600 and 1,600 lb, and a Continuum head unit in your receiver.
Not for: a standard coupler (use WDHL4510); trailers without an A-frame coupler. This unit alone does not include a head unit or ball.
About B&W Trailer Hitches
Roger Baker and Joe Works founded B&W Trailer Hitches in 1987, working out of a garage where they built custom truck beds; the company name comes from their initials. Customers wanted a gooseneck ball that would not sit welded in the middle of the bed, and their answer was the Turnoverball: it mounts beneath the bed, and the ball flips over to stow in the same hole it tows from. B&W lists it in WDHK4501, WDHK4503, WDHK4505, WDHK4507, WDHK4513 and WDHK4515, each with its matching head unit.
What is in the box?
Hydraulic pump and cylinder, load bar assembly, top cylinder mount, pump mount bracket and inside clamp, two frame clamps, two top mount washer plates, fork holder bracket and clamp, top cylinder mount pin, cotter pin, bolt bag; extension kit: hydraulic cylinder extension with a 3/4" lock nut and 3/4" x 4-1/4" cap screw.
What if my load changes?
Add a few pumps on the handle to shift more weight to the front axle. B&W's design means no bar swap and no head adjustment for a change in tongue weight.
Will it fit my trailer frame?
B&W's manual calls for an A-frame coupler with rails about 2" wide and 5" to 6" tall; 4" to 7" rails work with alternate bolts available from B&W. The rails must sit 6" to 9" apart where it mounts, with 2" of open space behind the coupler.
Will the hydraulics leak?
B&W built the system as a closed loop, the type used on tractors and construction equipment. B&W's manual says the system relieves pressure automatically when it exceeds 3,000 psi, to protect the hitch, truck and trailer during overload events.
Should I use tools on the needle valve?
No. B&W says to turn it by hand only, since excess force can damage it.
