- Ball and Pintle in One Hitch: One hitch handles both a ball coupler and a lunette ring. The pintle hook carries a 2" and a 2-5/16" ball, and a hinged pintle lock closes over the ball when you hook up to a ring, so a work truck can pull either kind of trailer without a hitch swap.
- Pintle Uses the 2-5/16" Ball: Ring towing works only on the 2-5/16" ball. B&W warns that holding a tow ring on the 2" ball can lead to injury or worse, so rotate the larger ball up before you drop the lock over the ring and pin it.
- Rated Per Ball, Not Per Hitch: B&W publishes a separate rating for each ball, and the 2-5/16" carries the higher numbers. Whichever ball is in use sets your limit, and your truck, receiver and trailer coupler each have ratings of their own: stay under the lowest one.
- Height Adjusts on Pins: Two 7/8" stainless pins hold the hook to the mount. Pull them, move the hook to the height that levels your trailer and pin it again with the lynch pins in place. Flip the mount over in the receiver when you need more adjustment range.
- Stows Behind the Bumper: The hitch ships in its stow position. Between jobs, pin the hook up behind the bumper and it stays on the truck, clear of your shins and overhead doors, ready for the next load.
- Slide-Pin Security: With the mount pinned in your receiver, nobody can pull the swing arm off, and a retaining slide pin holds the hook and both balls on the arm.

TS10053B is B&W's Dual Ball Pintle Tow & Stow for a 2" receiver, with a 6" drop, 4" rise and black finish. Its pintle hook carries 2" and 2-5/16" balls; B&W rates it at 16,000 lb GTW with 1,600 lb VTW on the 2-5/16" ball, and that larger ball is the one that takes a lunette ring.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check your fit: a 2" square receiver. Take out any reducer sleeve before you measure, since B&W says a sleeve lowers the tow rating. Pick the setting that tows the trailer level while the hitch's lowest point stays at least 11" off the ground, B&W's minimum.
Not for: a 2.5" receiver (that size is TS20053B); pulling a ring on the 2" ball; sway-bar or weight-distribution setups. Safety chains go to the truck frame, never to this hitch.

What does TS10053B carry on each ball?
With the 2-5/16" ball: 16,000 lb GTW and 1,600 lb VTW. With the 2" ball: 10,000 lb GTW and 1,000 lb VTW. Ring towing uses the 2-5/16" ball only.
Which receiver does it fit?
Only a 2" square receiver. For a 2.5" receiver, order TS20053B instead.
Can I hook my safety chains to the hitch?
No. B&W says chains clipped to the Tow & Stow Pintle take away the backup they exist for. Hook them to the chain points on your truck's frame.
Can I tow a lunette ring on the 2" ball?
No. A ring must ride on the 2-5/16" ball with the pintle lock closed and pinned. For ball towing, pull the 5/8" pin, swing the lock up 90 degrees and park the pin in the lower hole.
How do I keep the pins working?
Lubricate the stainless pins and pin block holes once a month with a petroleum or Teflon based lubricant. Where roads are salted, B&W suggests spraying the whole hitch, and keeping it clean of grit and road grime.
Can I use a sway bar or weight distribution?
No. B&W says those systems connect to the receiver with their own attachment pieces, which do not work with the Tow & Stow.

Here's the short version. Follow B&W's install sheet (below) for the exact positions and hardware.
- The pintle hitch ships in the stow position. To set the height, remove the two 7/8" stainless steel pins that hold the pintle hook to the pintle mount, move the hook to the position you need and put both pins back.
- Install the 1/4" lynch pins to hold the 7/8" pins while towing; the lynch pin spring must close on the same side as the bump on top of the pin.
- For more height range, remove the two 7/8" pins, flip the pintle mount over and put it back in the receiver with the adjustable pin block away from the ground, then move the hook to the position you need and re-pin it.
- Do not tow with the pintle hook flipped over so the pintle hitch lock faces the ground.
- To tow with a ring, close the pintle hitch lock over the ball and secure it with the 5/8" stainless steel pin; the 2-5/16" ball must hold the ring, never the 2" ball.
- To tow with a ball coupler, remove the 5/8" pin, flip the lock up 90 degrees and place the pin in the lower hole to hold it there; install the 3/16" lynch pin to hold the 5/8" pin while towing.

Inspect on delivery
Before every tow, check that all pins and lynch pins are in place, that every lynch pin spring snaps shut on the side with the bump, and that the hitch shows no cracks or damage beyond normal wear. Check it as soon as it arrives.- Look for crushed ends, punctures or tears in the carton.
- If something looks wrong, take photos of the box and the parts (and if a driver asks you to sign, note the damage on the receipt).
- Open the box and check the parts against the parts list before you install.
