Tool-Free Clamps, No Drilling Jaw-Grip clamps at the front and EZ-Lock clamps at the rear bite onto the inside of the bed rail with no tools and no drilling. The same clamps release the cover for removal in seconds when a load needs the full bed.
Two-Thirds Bed Access, Open While Driving Two thirds of the bed opens up once the rear clamps let go and the stack folds toward the cab. Two integrated buckle straps hold it there so you can drive with it open. Clip both before you pull out.

Installation is clamp-on with no drilling. The Jaw-Grip front clamps and EZ-Lock rear clamps grip the inside lip of the bed rail by hand, so there are no tools and no holes to make. Extang rates it Level 1, its simplest grade, at under an hour and includes the hardware and the install sheet in the box. Check that all four clamps are tight before you drive.

Extang covers the Trifecta 2.0 with a limited lifetime warranty against defects in materials and workmanship on the rails, aluminum parts, clamps, bows, hardware and vinyl, for the original purchaser with a registration on file or a dated receipt. Cargo touching the tarp voids it, as does driving with the panels unsecured or folding the cover open before snow and ice are cleared off the top. Silicone vinyl conditioners such as Armor All, wind whip from a tarp left loose at speed and towing the truck from the rear void it as well, alongside accident damage, misuse, improper installation, modifications and normal wear. Approved claims are repaired or replaced at Extang's option once a return authorization number is issued, with shipping to Extang paid by the owner.

How much of the bed can I get to with the cover on?
Release the rear EZ-Lock clamps at the tailgate end and fold the cover forward toward the cab. That opens about two-thirds of the bed. Secure the folded cover with both buckle straps before you drive. For a load that needs the whole bed, release the front Jaw-Grip clamps too and lift the cover off, no tools needed.
Will the Trifecta 2.0 keep rain and snow out of the bed?
It is designed to. The tarp is a marine-grade, moisture-resistant vinyl and the snap-on triple-fin seals block seepage along the bed rails, at the bulkhead and at the tailgate. Like any soft cover it is weather-resistant rather than watertight, so keep anything that cannot get damp in a bag or bin. Clear snow and ice off the top before you fold it open.
Do I need to drill into my truck to install it?
No. The Trifecta 2.0 clamps to the inside of the bed rails with Jaw-Grip clamps at the front and EZ-Lock clamps at the rear, both tightened by hand. Extang rates the job Level 1 and puts it at under an hour. The hardware and an install sheet come in the box. Trucks such as the Ridgeline, Gladiator and newer Ranger use their own supplemental sheet.
How should I clean the vinyl tarp?
Silicone is the thing to avoid. Anything with silicone in it, Armor All included, pulls the moisture out of the vinyl and it cracks. Extang lists that as a warranty exclusion. For routine cleaning use soap and water or Extang's own Tonno Tonic, the cleaner it has tested and approved for this vinyl.
My truck has a RamBox, Utili-track or a deck rail system. Will it fit?
Yes, as long as you order the right version. Extang makes the Trifecta 2.0 in separate part numbers for beds with RamBox side storage, Utili-track, deck rails, a cargo management system or a CarbonPro bed, plus versions for beds without those features. Choose the matching option in the fitment selector. The RamBox version assumes the factory silver cargo rails are fitted.
Can I carry anything on top of the cover or let cargo touch it?
No. The Trifecta 2.0 is a soft cover and Extang publishes no weight capacity for the top. Extang's warranty is void if cargo pushes up against the tarp or panels, since a shifting load stresses the fabric. Keep tall items below the rail line or fold the cover open and buckle it before you drive. Extang also says not to tow the truck from the rear with the cover on.
