  • Cast-Iron Construction: Fill-Rite builds the FR1200 around a cast-iron pump housing with a powdered iron rotor and sintered bronze vanes, and a stainless steel strainer screen in the inlet catches debris before it reaches the vanes.
  • Fits 2" Tank Bungs: An inlet flange threads onto a 2" tank bung and takes a 1" suction pipe; the outlet is 3/4". US models are NPT, while the FR1205HE export pump-only model uses a 2" BSPT adapter and BSPP ports.
  • Lockable Nozzle Hook: Beside the on/off lever is a locking link. Switch off, rest the nozzle in its boot, and run a padlock through the link and the nozzle handle to keep fuel from being taken.
  • 15 GPM Rotary Vane: The rotary vane design primes itself and delivers as much as 15 GPM (57 LPM) on 12V DC, pulling fuel through as much as 8' of suction lift and pushing it up to 37' of outlet head.
  • Rotatable Junction Box: The wiring junction box turns through 180 degrees, so the power cable can enter from the side that suits your tank layout, and the nozzle boot bolts on in either of two positions.
  • Many Fluids, One Pump: The FR1200 is approved by Fill-Rite for diesel, kerosene, mineral spirits, gasoline including E15 ethanol blends, and biodiesel up to B20.

Description & Fitment

Fill-Rite's FR1210H is the everyday 12V kit of the FR1200 line: a cast-iron rotary vane pump rated at 15 GPM (57 LPM) that comes with a 3/4" x 12' static-wire hose, a 3/4" cast aluminum manual nozzle, a steel suction pipe that telescopes from 20" to 34-1/2", and an 18' 12 AWG power cable with bare leads. It threads onto a 2" NPT tank bung, draws 20 A on 12V DC, and moves diesel, gasoline up to E15, B20 biodiesel, kerosene and mineral spirits.

Fitment & Compatibility

Check your setup: a 12V DC battery with a 30 A fuse and a 2" NPT tank bung. For an automatic nozzle choose the FR1210HA (unleaded) or FR1210HA1 (diesel); the FR1211H adds an 807C gallon meter; the bare pump is the FR1204H. For 20 GPM on 12V see the FR4200 line, for 24V the FR2410H.

Not for: DEF, water or any fluid meant for drinking or food, and fueling aircraft (Fill-Rite's manual rules these out). No meter is included.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does the FR1210H include a meter?

No. It ships with hose, manual nozzle, suction pipe and cable. The FR1211H is the same kit with an 807C gallon meter.

Is the nozzle automatic?

No, it is a 3/4" cast aluminum manual nozzle. For automatic shut-off, look at the FR1210HA or FR1210HA1.

What power does it need?

A 12V DC battery or supply. Fill-Rite requires a 30 A fuse in the 12V circuit and has the wiring done by a licensed electrician. Never power it from thin vehicle wiring such as a lighter socket.

How long can it run at a time?

Fill-Rite rates the motor for 30 minutes of running followed by 30 minutes off. A thermal protector stops it if it overheats.

Which tanks does it fit?

Tanks with a 2" bung: NPT on US models, BSPT on the FR1205HE pump-only version. The tank needs a vent, and a fixed suction pipe should end 1-2" above the tank floor.

Can I lock the pump?

Yes. The switch has a locking link next to the lever. With the switch off and a nozzle resting in its boot, a padlock passes through that link and the nozzle handle.

Here's the short version. Follow Fill-Rite's manual (below) for the full procedure, wiring and safety steps.

  1. Optional: take the inlet flange off the pump by loosening its four 1/4" bolts with a 7/16" wrench; keep the bolts, screen and gasket.
  2. Thread the suction pipe into the inlet bung 1.5 to 2.5 turns past hand tight with a pipe wrench, using a sealant made for fuel.
  3. Thread the bung and pipe onto the tank 1.5 to 2.5 turns past hand tight, again with fuel-rated sealant.
  4. If you removed the flange, seat the screen and gasket, set the pump on the bung and tighten the four bolts to at least 40 in-lbs.
  5. Open the junction box (two T-25 screws), feed the red and black power leads through the 1/2" NPT opening with the black cable connector, and keep the gasket in place when you close it.
  6. Mount the nozzle boot to the switch plate with its 5/16" bolt at 40 in-lbs; it has two positions. Wire to a 12V supply with a 30 A fuse.

  • Lifetime Tiered limited warranty

    Fill-Rite covers the FR1200 Series pump with its tiered Limited Lifetime Warranty against defects in material and workmanship:
    • Lifetime: pump castings, such as the pump and motor housings, motor frame, inlet flange and bung adapter, junction box cover, switch plate and end bells. Paint and corrosion issues are excluded.
    • 5 years: the motor and its components, such as magnets, armature, brushes, thermal protector, lead wires and circuit boards.
    • 2 years: wear parts, such as seals, gaskets, O-rings, springs, vanes, rotor and rotor cover, bypass cap, nozzle boot, switch parts and paint adhesion. Paint wear from use, weather or chemicals is excluded.
    • 1 year: accessories packed with the pump, such as hoses, nozzles, suction pipes, cables and connectors, elbows and swivels.
    • The meter on metered kits falls under Fill-Rite's 800 and 900 Series terms instead: 2 years on all meter components.
    • Coverage runs from the date of sale, or the delivery date if that is later, and only the original purchaser is covered; it does not transfer to a later owner.
    • It applies to products bought from Fill-Rite or a seller Fill-Rite authorizes in the United States or Canada, and Fill-Rite needs proof of purchase with a claim. Without proof of purchase or delivery, Fill-Rite starts the clock at the date code on the product.

This is a very fast Fuel Transfer Pump, It comes with the Discharge Hose, Manual Nozzle, and Suction Pipe The only thing that I can think of that would improve it, is if they came with a automatic shut-off nozzle.

I purchased the FILL-RITE 12V 15 GPM 1/4 HP Fuel Transfer Pump with the manual nozzle package. While the pump performs adequately after some modifications, I encountered a significant issue upon installation. The lever mechanism was flawed, causing the pump to run continuously. To rectify this, I had to disassemble the lever and modify the hole to ensure proper operation. I reached out to the manufacturer via email seeking guidance on this problem but did not receive a response. This lack of customer support, combined with the initial quality control oversight, is disappointing. Once fixed, the pump functions as expected, but these issues prevent me from giving a higher rating.

Does not have an auto cut off so as you get near the top slow down rate of fill to keep from splash back which is common on this one.

Excellent pump and easy installation. I use it to transfer fuel to my PU when pulling my trailer so I probably didn't need the 15 GPM that this pump delivers. I would also recommend buying a particulate filter to be sure of fuel quality.

Semi alaska proof

Definitely a great pump at -40. Wired it in with a relay switch setup and is pretty nice. Down side is that the hose literally snapped in half when I went to fill the house up. I feel tho with the price tho it’s justified but still put me in a bummer. Other than that the length of the wire harness was plenty enough to run underneath the truck.
