- 4-Digit Mechanical Register: A resettable 4-digit register shows each delivery and a totalizer that cannot be reset keeps the running count. The meter runs on the flow itself, with no batteries or wiring.
- 6 to 60 GPM High Volume: Fill-Rite rates the TN860 at 6 to 60 GPM (23 to 230 LPM), sized for bulk diesel moving through a 1-1/2" line from a storage tank or a fuel trailer.
- Diesel and Biodiesel Ready: Fill-Rite lists these TN860 meters for diesel, kerosene and biodiesel up to B20. Each one is calibrated at the factory for a viscosity range, so changing fluids can mean new gears and a recalibration.
- Plus or Minus 2% Accuracy: A nutating disc chamber gives ±2% accuracy with 0.25% repeatability for in-house fuel tracking. The calibration screw covers about ±3% to correct for normal wear.
- 150 PSI Rated: The TN860 takes up to 150 PSI (10 bar), and its control plate is sealed with fluorocarbon. Fill-Rite rates it from -15 to 180°F, with a lower pressure limit above 120°F.
- 1-1/2" Female NPT Ports: Female 1-1/2" NPT ports put the meter straight into the line. Flow can run left to right, right to left or upward, never against the arrow on the case.

The Fill-Rite TN860AN1CAB1GAC is a 4-digit mechanical fuel transfer meter that reads in gallons, not for fluid resale. It suits diesel, kerosene or B20 biodiesel lines moving 6 to 60 GPM. It is rated at ±2% accuracy and 150 PSI, with 1-1/2" female NPT ports. A reset knob is included.
Fitment & Compatibility
Check your setup: a 1-1/2" NPT diesel line from a bulk tank or trailer. Liter version: TN860AN1CAB1LAC. Fluorocarbon-seal low-viscosity version: TN860AN1CAB1GAC-RL.
Not for: systems that need 3A sanitary equipment, and any fluid outside its factory viscosity range; switching fluids can call for new gears and recalibration. Never reset the register while fluid is flowing. Fill-Rite lists diesel, kerosene and B20 biodiesel for this SKU; ask us before metering any other fluid.

Can it meter gasoline?
Fill-Rite lists this SKU for diesel, kerosene and biodiesel up to B20 only, and the meter is calibrated for that viscosity.
Is the TN860 meant for resale fuel?
No. Fill-Rite builds it for non-custody transfer, meaning in-house tracking of your own fuel, not selling fuel by volume.
Does it need a strainer?
Fill-Rite calls for one on the inlet side to catch slag and pipe scale, plus a thermal relief valve on any section where closed valves on both sides could lock the meter in.
How should I start it the first time?
Fill it slowly: throttle the inlet valve, open the outlet, start the pump and open the inlet gradually. Do not run at full rate until all air is purged.
Can I use PTFE tape on the threads?
No. Fill-Rite asks for pipe compound on the male threads and says not to use PTFE sealing tape.
Installation
Here's the short version. Follow Fill-Rite's manual (below) for the full procedure and safety steps.
- Flush the piping first, keep the port caps on until you are ready, and check that no packing material is inside the meter.
- Fit a strainer on the inlet side, plus a thermal relief valve on any section where closed valves on both sides could lock the meter in; Fill-Rite also suggests inlet, outlet and bypass/calibration valves.
- Orient the meter so it stays full: flow left to right, right to left or upward, never against the arrow on the case; the register can face up or out.
- Put pipe compound on the male threads (no PTFE tape), and secure the meter to a mounting support so the piping carries no stress.
- Fill slowly: throttle the inlet valve, open the outlet, start the pump and open the inlet gradually; do not run at full rate until the air is purged.
- Recheck calibration after installing: three tests against a prover, master meter or scale holding at least 60 seconds of flow, then trim with the calibration screw (about ±3%).

Fill-Rite's limited warranty policy lists the TN Series meters under a 2-year term: every meter component is warranted against defects in material and workmanship for 2 years.- Coverage runs from the date of sale, or the delivery date if that is later, and only the original purchaser is covered; it does not transfer to a later owner.
- It applies to products bought from Fill-Rite or a seller Fill-Rite authorizes in the United States or Canada, and Fill-Rite needs proof of purchase with a claim. Without proof of purchase or delivery, Fill-Rite starts the clock at the date code on the product.
- Small items such as fasteners, washers, labels, nameplates, rivets, emblems, packaging, thread tape, wire nuts and paperwork are not covered.
- It does not cover misuse, neglect, accident, negligence, improper installation or maintenance, or repairs done by anyone other than Fill-Rite or its authorized representative.
- Fill-Rite's remedy is a replacement, or a refund of the price paid when a replacement or repair is not practical. Its liability is capped at the purchase price and it excludes incidental and consequential damages where the law allows. Implied warranties are limited to the length of this warranty.
