Great side steps with paint protection
These side steps look great and extend out just enough to provide some protection from rocks kicking up. I love the punched holes that create excellent grip in dry or wet conditions.

Dominator D1 side steps pair a tubular steel frame with plate-steel tread for a tough look that suits off-road and overland builds. The cab-length step makes climbing into a tall vehicle or SUV easy for every passenger.
The 5.5" wide tread is dimpled with a raised hexagonal pattern, so boots stay put in rain, mud and snow. The full-width surface gives room to step anywhere along the cab.
All-steel construction in a textured black powder coat stands between the rocker panels and rocks thrown by the tires. The finish is made to resist chips, scratches and corrosion.
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Each listing is made for specific vehicles and cabs, and the fit table lists them with any exclusions, such as diesel-engine versions of certain vehicles. Match your vehicle, cab and any noted equipment before ordering.
They help. The all-steel steps sit along the rockers and block rocks and debris kicked up by the tires. They are side steps, not dedicated rock sliders.
Most applications bolt to existing holes in the rocker panel. Some vehicles need small holes drilled or enlarged where factory holes are missing, and the guide for your part number says when.
The plate-steel tread is dimpled with a raised hexagonal pattern across a 5.5" wide surface, made to give a secure footing in wet or muddy conditions.
Wash with gentle soap and water, dry the steps after washing and skip abrasive cleaners or polishing compounds. A non-abrasive wax such as pure carnauba helps, and check the bolts every six months.
A limited lifetime structural warranty and a 5-year finish warranty for the original owner. Warranty returns need an RGA number from Go Rhino.

These side steps look great and extend out just enough to provide some protection from rocks kicking up. I love the punched holes that create excellent grip in dry or wet conditions.
Not only did the steps solve the issue of climbing in and jumping out of my Tundra it also changed the appearance of the truck. The Dominator D1 steps save my back and look great. I installed them myself, so it took a bit longer than stated. Very easy to install. Steps are solid and good quality.
I was in the market for a descent set of step rails for my 2016 Toyota Tundra SR5 Crew Max. Everything fits perfectly, looks great and I’m looking forward to many years of great use.
Very happy with the product
They couldn't be any better. Gone over hills that I thought I would hit the steps but didnt. Keep rocks that fly off my tires from hitting my bronco.
Purchased the Go Rhino Dominator D1 side steps and couldn’t be happier! Super easy bolt on install and perfect rugged, sturdy look and feel. I would recommend this product to anyone interested in an easy mod or upgrade for your truck!
Love the quality, fit and finish! Easily installed by myself by propping one end up with a box. Everything lined up perfectly and easily adjusted front to back for a perfect look and function.
The side steps are awesome, strong, and look great on my gladiator. Instructions want you to put the brackets on the vehicle first, put them on the steps first and leave them loose and installation will be a snap.
Received damaged. . twice! Banged around in the box either in the warehouse or in shipping and chipped off the powder coat. Can't imagine how they would stand up to rocks kicked up from a gravel road. The construction is solid and top notch. But if you want them to look good for a long time. . do what I did. . have them coated with spray on bed liner like Linex, Rhinoliner or Mil-Spec.
Not only do they look nice, installation was easy
Great side step. Looks amazing, easy to install, and seems very protective. Cant wait to really test it out on the farm.
Great steps great company
These steps are just i was hoping for!Strong/sturdy/and look excellent!2021 Chevy Silverado
Prefect fit with mud flaps.
Super good look and the step plates do a great job of getting the big mud off your boots. I suggest running a tap into the threads of the plates if you are doing the install yourself. I struggled for a few minutes before I figured out none of the bolts were going in easy.
Easy to put on, requires at least two people to install because of the weight. Looks great on my 23 CrewMax Tundra.
I really enjoy the look and feel of these side steps. I do wish they were wheel to wheel as they only cover the doors. The worst thing I would say is installation. It is for sure a 2 person job, I tried by myself and had to call a buddy to help
They came bent and would not line up with brackets. The paint already chipped off in places.
Looks great on my 25 Silverado 2500 HD
They look good on the truck and seem to be of good quality. Time will tell on the durability thought.
Easy install. Wish they came with a 4th bracket since there are 4 set of bolts on each side.
The install was pretty straight forward. The only thing I would say about the install is use something to back the bracket when installing the harness moves too much and was hard to get it on until I used the plastic bag it came in to back the harness to keep it still. Then the install became much easier.
The new Go Rhino side steps look really nice and are the fit and purpose I was looking for. I wanted a side step that did not drop down or extend out too far, but also provided adequate access/egress into the large Silverado 3500 HD. They are excellent quality and I am very pleased.
Necessary safety item for our Jeep Rubicon
Easy to install and sharp look. 30% less than having a company install and it took 90 minutes. The only issue I’ll probably run into is rust in a few years. The only thing that could make it better is if they were covered by line-x.
Steps are recommended! 2024 GMC Canyon. Great looks, robust design. Didn't like large oem mud flaps or oem running boards. One hint not in instructions: trim plastic plugs in rocker assembly and reinstall. Do not discard. This seals rocker from outside elements.
Was looking for a while for the best step board that looks integrated, modern, and tough. These step rails not only are highly functional assisting in ease to get into the car (especially as I have a Sasquatch package) but also gives the car a strong stance. Makes the car feel like a G-Wagon.
I put these on my gray on black 2024 Tundra with crew cab. They look stock. The width is just right, do not stick too far out, not too short of a step. The height is also nice, just above about halfway between the door sill and the ground. They were very easy to put on.
Solid steps so far. Great fit and finish as well and they look great.
I looked at a lot of options before selecting this model. And I wanted to like them. But I do not. They were relatively easy to install. They look okay. They don't seem to have had any impact on MPG. Most importantly, they make it easier for my wife to get in and out of the truck. But they get in the way and make it harder for me to get in and out. They are lower to the ground than I expected. I am concerned that the truck could 'high center' on these rails. They are not very strong. I experience a considerable amount of flex in the rails just getting in and out of the truck. At 155 lbs, I am not a heavy person. My chins are constantly bruised from bashing into the rails. Not recommended.
I like them, they look sharp, took way more then a hour for installation
Great looking product with easy installation. Makes getting into my lifted truck a breeze!
Love the look of the steps. Took about 2 hours total by myself rolling around the ground like a walrus. I would suggest attaching the ends of the steps before doing the middle. If you have a buddy and a pack of beer, could probably get it done in an hour or so.
Fit like a glove and work well. Easy installation if you have the truck on a lift, but laying on the floor under it putting them on was a little more difficult. I finally used blocks of wood to elevate them to the proper height so I could bolt them on.
How about 3 weeks & only received the brackets & no update on them !! Excuse back ordered then I should have been told they weren’t in stock !!
These step rails have enough drop to be useful on my 2024 F250, but sit high enough to offer clearance. They also have a great “off-road” look. I like them much better than the plastic rails offered by Ford.
These side steps checked off all the boxes for my needs. The little drop down is helpful for us vertically challenged individuals, they look good, and easy to install, suggest getting a friend to help hold them up when installing. Only negative- I wish the “Go Rhino” was in a more discreet location or blacked out. I’ve had them for about a month so I can’t speak on long term durability, but I am very happy with this purchase.
Great look and makes it easy for my wife to enter and exit the Bronco
Went on fairly easy - did it by myself with a large cardboard box holding it up.
Great steps? They have that tough off road look but at the same time plenty of room to use as a step. Super easy install.
Love the look, install was very easy
The way Go Rhino designed these step bars are terrible. Almost imposable to install the way they instruct you to do it. Once installed, they look good however the steps seem to lean downward a bit and more movement when stepping to get into the bronco then there should be. The ends of these step bars are open, which is simply a bad design. I would not recommend these nerf bars. If it didn't take me 3 hours to install I would have return them.
Perfect fit for my 2024 Canyon. very stylish looking
Title says it all. They look great. You can tell they aren't made for rock sliding, but I didn't get em for that. And, you can tell they are very sturdy. Plenty of strength in em. Install wasn't that bad. Definitely need to put brackets on steps first. I know the instructions say opposite, but glad I read comments on bronco6g forums.
I am very happy with them
The steps are solid and look great on my Silverado. Installation instructions were simple and easy to follow.
I love these.
Very happy with the running boards and the installation instructions. Thanks
Fit well, look great, the slide in bracket adapters are a massive pain to install and align. Get a friend or 3 to help with install.
I love these steps and have had on last 2 trucks. Only complaint is that they only provide 3 brackets to mount on a crew cab and the span between brackets is too big and makes them feel flimsy when getting in back seat. Factory had 4 brackets when I removed them.
Look good, nice boards. But for the money, they should have been better packaged. Ends of the boards are beat up, dented in and paint chipped.
The instructions are far from the easy way to install, far easier to assemble before installation. Figured that out on the second one. They do give quite a bit but so far are holding up.
These were very easy to install on my 2024 Ram 5500. We do like how they look and most definitely makes entry and exit easier and safer. The only reason I did not give these a 5 star rating is actual placement of the steps front to rear. The rear most mount stops the steps from moving forward enough to being secured true center of the 4 door cab.
These running boards work very well. I was pleased with the overall fit and quality. The units have a small amount of drop when stepping on them. The hardware seems very sturdy. Attaching the brackets to the units takes a little work but nothing bad. Instructions were okay. The product looks great on the truck. I wanted ones that didn’t stick out 7 inches and had a stop for your boot. These are about 5 inches out and have a bar that you boot will kick before you hit the truck. The packaging was less than expected. The running boards had rub makes all over the ends. The packaging for the attachment hardware was even worse. There were parts that the paint had completely rubbed off from. Had some left over rubberized spray paint that cleaned everything up and made it look great. Overall, pleased but packaging could be better.
These are not vehicle specific steps. The steps are a universal step, with brackets that are specific to each vehicle. You have to slide mounting brackets inside the tube of the step, and then try to hold the bracket upright inside the tube with your finger while also ligning up and starting the bolts. Way more of an annoying process than installing N-Fab steps. Overall the steps are sturdy and seem well built.
Overall I’m happy with them. They look good installed, provide just enough of a step to aid entry without hanging way down where they would interfere with any off-road travel. A little trouble getting them installed, not all the brackets had a universal fit with the steps, but with some trial and error was able to get them on. Would like to have a fourth bracket for each side instead of 3, these are pretty long. Last little thing is the width, they tuck up so nice that getting out requires a little more attention to catch the step on the way down. I would have taken 2 more inches. All in all though they seem durable and look good.
I love the running boards on my Tacoma. Solid construction and easy install. The box looked like it was packed by my 8 year old grandson. There was very little packaging material at the ends so there was damage in shipment. The ends were bent enough to damage the powder coating. I didn't want to think about repacking and shipping, so I'm hoping a coat of Rustoleum is enough protection.
Package was dropped and minor damage on the bars. These weight about 80 pounds. A little larger than I was looking for but hope they provide good protection from rocks hitting the flared bedside. The drop seems to hang about as low as the transmission crossmember. Installation requires friends.
The steps look good but the brackets that slide into the step rails and hook to the mounting brackets are really poorly designed.
It has taken me 3 hours to do only one side. Terrible instructions and access to the bolts. The dumb plates that float inside make it almost impossible to line everyhting up. I had OEM Mopar Rock rails previously and it took 10 minutes to take them off. Sio easy. Everyhting lines up and makes sense. One piece construction. These side steps look nice but unless you have professional to install them move on to another product. BTW, there is a mix of standard and metric bolts with this, creating even more confusing.
Steps came quick, mounting brackets came about a weeks later. I received a shipping number for the steps and they arrived by the expected date. However the brackets shipped and arrived before I was notified of shipping (shipping information was received after brackets were already in hand). Another small problem came when starting to install the steps. The nut plates provided did not slide into the steps as expected. Upon further investigation I noticed that the welds on the top side of the tube were slightly lower than expected. This caused the nut plate to bind up before it was fully installed into the tube. I could freely install them upside down without issue but that would leave less support for the step. I was able to lightly tap the nut plate in, and once in place the rest of the install went as expected and smoothly.
Happy to have found these. Having a regular cab, not that many fit. These look great and I feel fit the truck.
Thin metal step. Potential rattle or harmonic vibration. Rear Brackets did not line up with factory mounting holes.
Let me first start by saying they look great on the truck but that's where the buck stops. Not a lot of engineering went into making these. First off the mounting brackets only mount 1 bolt to the body and 2 small bolts to the pinch weld. The OEM pair I removed had 2 bolts to the under body and zero to the pinch weld and felt solid. The 1 bolt and bracket supplied do not make the side step very strong and in my opinion is a weak point and design flaw. The steps also have some flex when applying weight due to this. Second. The nut plates provided did not fit into the channel on the side step. they were far too long. I had to modify the nut plates to make it fit into the channel. There were 6 nut plates provided so imagine the time wasted. Third: it was near impossible to line up the side step while holding the nutplate and attempting to bolt it up to the truck. The directions tell you…
Following directions installing one person was not that easy. After several tries to secure steps in the air with Jack stands and line up braces with bolts in step I decided to use common sense and install steps my way. The step plate is held by 2 small screws on outside frame area. Because of this the step plate is not solid on frame and vibrates. Going to have to secure 2 more screws on each step plate to make the steps fell more secure to me and not vibrate.
This might be one of the worst designed products I have ever experienced. It is clear that they are a universal fit to minimize manufacturing costs, so the floating braket inside the step constantly moves around and half the nuts aren't tapped correctly to line up the bolts. Took several times rearranging the brackets before we found which fit well enough. Whoever designed these has never tried to install them, particularly without the vehicle lifted. If any smarter installation methid was used, I would give these high marks bc they look great. But as is, I would recommend anyone stay away unless they want to suffer significant frustration during install.
This was the perfect height and look. Unfortunately, the instructions were not provided, nor could I find them online. After quite a bit of time and frustration on the phone during which tech support suggested I take it to a local installer, I was finally provided with the pdf instructions. No problem after that.
