Features
- A Lower First Step: A 4" drop step under each front door gives you a lower first step, which helps most on a lifted truck.
- Bolts to Your D6 Boards: The steps mount to Dominator D6 boards already on the vehicle. The boards and their bracket kits are separate D6 kits.
- No Drilling: Each step is placed along the board and its brackets line up with the board's own mounting holes, so nothing gets drilled.
- Front Screws, Rear Bolt Plate: The front brackets fasten through the board with 3/8" button-head screws; at the rear, a bolt plate slides in from the back of the board and takes 1/4" button-head screws.
- About 30 Minutes: Go Rhino's sheet allows 30 minutes with a 5/8" wrench or socket and 3/16" and 7/32" hex drivers.
- 5-Year Limited Warranty: Go Rhino's installation instructions give the drop steps a 5-year limited warranty on the black finish. The warranty tile lists the terms.
Description & Fitment
These are the optional 4" drop steps for Dominator D6 boards, sold as a pair under part D6410000T. They bolt to D6 boards already on the vehicle (boards not included) and lower the first step on lifted trucks. They install without drilling, do not work with lower rocker panel extensions, and Go Rhino's sheet estimates 30 minutes. Textured black, matching the boards.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will these drop steps fit my vehicle?
They fit any vehicle in the fit table that already has Dominator D6 boards installed, except models with lower rocker panel extensions. They do not fit D1 steps or other Go Rhino boards. Not sure? Send us your VIN and we'll confirm.
How do the drop steps attach?
They bolt to the D6 board: button-head screws through the board's mounting holes at the front bracket, and a bolt plate slid in from the back of the board for the rear bracket, no drilling. Go Rhino's sheet estimates 30 minutes and lists a 5/8" wrench or socket plus 3/16" and 7/32" hex drivers.
Do the drop steps come with D6 boards?
No. D6410000T is the pair of drop steps only. The boards and their bracket kits are separate Dominator D6 kits made for each vehicle.
Do they work with rocker panel extensions?
No. Go Rhino lists the drop steps as not compatible with models that have lower rocker panel extensions.
What finish are they?
Textured black powder coat, the same finish as the D6 boards.
How do I look after them?
Check and retighten the screws from time to time, as Go Rhino's sheet asks, and wash the finish regularly with car wash soap, rinsing well with water.

Here's the short version. Follow Go Rhino's install sheet (below) for your truck's exact positions and hardware.
- Pick the spot along the running board, line the drop step's mounting holes up with the board's holes and fit the front mounting brackets with (6) 3/8" button-head screws, plastic washers, flat washers, lock washers and hex nuts. Tighten to 26 ft-lb max; do not overtighten.
- Slide the bolt plate in through the opening on the back of the board, line it up with the rear mounting bracket and fit it with (4) 1/4" button-head screws, lock washers and washers. Tighten to 70 in-lb max; do not overtighten.
- Check and retighten the screws periodically.

Love these, clean look and nice stable platform on my 2500 quad cab
Super happy with the look of these on my 2500. Installation wasn't bad, not a lot of information about it online so I uploaded a video to YouTube. However one of my center brackets was welded improperly and can't be fixed to the holes in the bottom of the body itself. Given the sturdiness of the brackets and the primary mounting points on the frame, I'm not concerned about strength. But I still might reach out about getting a replacement bracket. I just don't want to pull everything off to replace it LOL. Great running boards though. Very happy with this upgrade.

No ground clearance loss and looks amazing
I bought these because they don’t have hangers that go far below the step. The lowest they go is at the actual step level and I couldn’t be happier. Right size to prevent door dings and rugged looking while giving my wife enough of a step to get into the truck. Good grip on step even in rain. My dog can jump up using them as well. Overall very sturdy. Took a little longer to install than others since it has a sliding bracket that is a bit strange but worth it. About 1 hour 30 min to install.

Great Product - Difficult Install
I want to start off with how I love the look of the boards and how well it goes with my Silverado. There are some pro’s and con’s I want to share to help others out there with their investment. PRO’S - The product is lightweight and very stylish for my truck. - Mounting brackets to the truck chassis was strait forward and easy mount (All 6 in about 10 minutes) - Ample foot print area when mounting and dismounting the vehicle. CON’s - The bracket that is inserted into the boards and mounts to the bracket attached to the frame a nightmare. When trying to mount is flops around like a fish on land. - The instructions were not clear on how the whole assembly should be and the pictures had no orientation. - Unless you use a second person, you will have to be crafty on how to stabilize the board so you can mount the running boards. - Need a hammer to tap the bracket into the running board…

Dominator D6 for 2017 RAM Rebel
So far so good. Work well and look great. Bought these to replace the NFAB steps that hung down to far. I like that these mount close to the body and don’t sacrifice a lot of ground clearance on my stock height truck. Seem a lot beefier than the NFabs too. Install is pretty strait forward. Only thing I had to swap the center mounting brackets(driver side bracket to passenger)from what the directions said as the holes for the pinch weld lined up better. Not a big deal though.

The running boards seem very
The running boards seem very sturdy when stepping in and out of the truck. The quality of the finish needs to be addressed. The surface was not prepped correctly for the coating to adhere to. When unboxed they already had flaking where the brackets attach. Also since putting a few hundred miles on them gravel have put chips in the coating down to the substrate up to half inch wide.

After 13,000 miles with these Rhino D6 boards, still love them. Sit high and tight to the cab, but low and wide enough to fully functional. Look way better than the slabs hanging lower, just waiting to hang up on trail and rip loose. Would highly recommend these if you’re looking for functional but not obtrusive steps.

Great running boards
Ordered these for my '22 Silverado ZR2 and the installation was easy. After getting the first one on (took me approx. 45min because I'm stubborn with directions), the second one took me half the time. Very sturdy, maintains the high clearance and looks great. Already have gotten many compliments. NOTE! Running boards and installation parts may ship separately. This happened to me but wasn't mentioned in any emails. Luckily I received them the next day.

Install was tricky. Needed help because lining up the brackets with the heavy step is awkward. One bolt got cross-threaded but is holding on ok. Hardware is beefy. Steps look great and make getting in/out of the truck a lot easier. The grippy texture is great for slippery conditions. They're also protecting the side of my truck from road debris.

Love the look / terrible install
(JLU 2018 Rubicon) I love the look and product, however the install was miserable. The instructions were off, the washers on the under bracket don’t have enough clearance and brackets not come labeled (front two) are longer. MOST IMPORTANTLY: the brackets have a sliding insert that is impossible to install without a thin trim tool. Definitely need two people to finish the install. I used YouTube to help figure out how to hold side steps in place (used buckets and towels) as I attached them ti the slide in brackets. This installation should be 1hr 30 min. Took me 4hrs and a stiff neck.

Solid running boards
The fit and finish of these running boards are very nice, they sit very tight against the truck, and have been very durable. Give the appearance of a “rock slider” but mount to the rocker and work great for helping passengers step on something. Easy to install with another person.

Seem great so far
Fits high and tight and seems solid. The boards stick out a little farther than I thought they would. Installation was easier assembling the brackets to the boards before bolting onto the truck.

Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison Fit and Install
I installed these on my Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison. I was concerned they may be too wide; however, with the close-to-vehicle fit, they look perfect, are very sturdy, and provide just the right amount of footing surface. The installation was straightforward. Very pleased with this purchase

Drilling is required
I searched long and hard to pick out new running boards for my 2012 Ram 1500. These looked nice and stated that I drilling was required to fit my truck. Once FedEx finally delivered the hardware, I realized there were some issues: 1) the pinch weld on my truck is not pre-drilled for the mounts 2) the hardware was sturdy looking, but the paint was very poor with shiny spots of exposed metal showing on most pieces making me concerned about rust in the future 3) mounting hardware that slid inside the running boards had holes that didn’t align with slots in the board 4) no installation instructions were provided, only a tiny packing list in Spanish. I’m going to try to send these back and start my search over.

Great boards
No slipping, some drainage, options to mount on rocker as well as on frame. Clean look, much better made than Toyota OEM boards. You can probably find a little cheaper option, but I plan to keep my 4R for some time, so really it does not matter.

Really happy with this purchase. The install was relatively easy. I was able to do one side by myself using crates to prop one side up, but the other side went very quickly with an extra set of hands. My only gripe is that the mounting brackets can be a little finicky if you’re trying to install by yourself, but the extra set of hands alleviates that.

Great running boards!
I got these for my 2024 Tundra and couldn’t be happier with them. They were easy to install, look great and are very solid. I’m 230 lbs and can there’s no play in the boards. They are well worth the money

Incorrect Hardware Kit
Boards looks good overall, but the package contained the incorrect hardware kit for the application (and what was specified in the instructions). Disappointing to spend this much on a product and then run to the hardware store to purchase the correct hardware to complete the installation.

Look Awesome. . . Install Nightmare on Alpine Street
Durable product and they look great once installed but. . . installation nightmare! Install videos portrayed a seamlessly simple fast install but in real life, not so much. Unless you have plenty of time and patience, have your dealer do the install. Again, the finished product is awesome and my wife loves them. My swear jar runneth over!

Mediocre at best
They were a pain to put on especially without instructions. One is in clear packaging the otherside in green but no clear instruction as to which side is what. Also the installation is a pain with out some buckets or jack stands. Even still they are what they are. Pretty heavy thats all ill really give them. The plasti dip was chipped when I got them out and scratched up. I would definitely install the brackets to the Channel loosely first, so you can slide them forward or back. Then install the whole thing to the truck then go back and tighten everything down. Or else lining them up while lying under the truck is a pain.

Wrong Parts
I ordered the Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D6 Side Step Bars (Textured Black) and was excited to install them—unfortunately, that never happened. The nut plates included in the package were too large and simply didn’t fit. I reached out to customer support, hoping for a quick fix. They sent out “replacements”… only for them to be the exact same incorrect parts. At this point, I still can’t install the steps, and it’s beyond frustrating. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to send the correct hardware the first time—or at least correct the issue when it's brought to their attention. Now I’m stuck wasting time and energy returning a product I can’t even use. Really disappointed with the quality control and customer service on this one.

The look and sturdiness is what i was looking for. Plenty of foot space to get in and out of the truck. (2022 Chevy 2500). So far so good. PA winters are harsh on aftermarket accessories. We shall see how they hold up

Good quality easy to install
The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review is that the boards are a little wide making it hard to get in my Tacoma without stepping on them and it’s lifted so the step is high to reach. More the trucks fault than the board but it would be nice if they weren’t as wide. Other than that great product.

Overall pleased
Install was a bit of a pain.If you are replace your old running boards keep the screws and U clips. Mounting hardware does not include screws and the U clips the provided are trash. Had to grind into the split weld of the truck to mount. Took me about 45 minutes by myself to install both after figured what to do. Used all pneumatic tools so this saved lots of time. Over all I like the look but thought it was priced high for what it was.

Not a bad step.
Over all I’m impressed with these steps for the price. On a 5th gen Ram 1500 there are no brackets hanging down to get hung up on obstacles. Brackets a 1/4 and gusseted. Steps are thin and will not withstand off-road abuse but that’s not what I bought them for. My only complaint is they went cheap on the end caps. They are just plastic held in with 2 screws and an easy place for water to get trapped. I feel they should have welded end caps for long term reliability. Other than that they are great.

2022 tundra 4x4 limited OR Windchill pearl order#:4176883
Looks nice the body structure feels solid great for getting in and out of the cab and loading kids in and out. I don't do extreme offroad rock climbing so this works for me from off pavement dirt road to some hard rocks to the sandy beach. I believe it stated that these running boards can be use for rock sliders. I might disagree with my humble opinion I am not an engineer because this package comes with 2 units boards and brackets detached and has to be put together. After I installed the boards onto my tundra upon testing the weight capacity I notice a slight bend or movement to the boards not much to get me worried but would be better if the boards came with 4 brackets instead of 3 brackets just to give a peace of mind. Hey if any staff members reading this if you can send me 2 brackets and hardware to complete the board that would greatly be appreciated. The 2022 tundra has 4…

These sit very tight to the pinch welds and don't hang down at all, they also don't have mounting brackets so you get very good ground clearance. They don't stick out past the tires if you are running offset wheels or wheel spacers.

Tough and tight
I purchased these steps because I liked the tough look and because they were up close/tight to the rocker panel. I didn’t want a step that hung too low. First time ever installing steps, and overall it wasn’t too bad. I did the whole install by myself. The steps are pretty heavy and feel to be good quality. First things first, clean the paint off of the studs. I used a tap and die set (M8x1.25). First time doing this too. Be patient, and have some good music playing! It is a slow and tedious process, but you will cross thread your studs if you don’t clean the paint off first. I don’t have a lift to put the truck up high so I found it easier to install the support brackets to the step first then put everything onto the studs on the inside of the rocker panel. Leave everything loose (brackets on steps and support brackets on studs) so you can adjust step as needed. Tighten down and you…
