Fits the same truck
The Dominator D6 is a running board and a slider in one. It sits tight to the body, gives you a 6" step into the cab, and takes the rock strikes and scrapes that would otherwise land on the rocker area.
The plate steel step pad carries a raised hex pattern, and the textured black powder coat adds slip resistance on top. Wet or muddy boots still get firm footing.
A tubular carbon steel frame carries the step pad, and the whole board is finished in textured black powder coat for corrosion resistance. Go Rhino covers the structure for the life of the product and the finish for 5 years.
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Each listing names the vehicles, years and cab or door configurations it fits, and the bracket kit is made for them. Check the fit table and its notes, such as gas-engine-only or trim exclusions, before you order.
Most rocker-mount D6 kits bolt on with no drilling. Frame-mount kits require drilling, and a few rocker-mount applications ask for existing holes to be enlarged. The guide for your part number says exactly what is needed.
Rocker-mount kits attach the brackets to the body along the rocker panel. Frame-mount kits, offered on select applications, tie the brackets to the frame and call for drilling. The listing title and the guide for your part number say which mount it uses.
No. They are separate Go Rhino parts. Dominator D6 board kits do not include drop steps, and the 4" drop step pair (D6410000T) does not include boards: the drop steps bolt to D6 boards already on the vehicle and do not fit models with lower rocker panel extensions.
Go Rhino recommends washing regularly with car wash soap and rinsing well, avoiding abrasive cleaners and polishing compounds, and using only a non-abrasive automotive wax such as pure carnauba. Wash often in winter if your roads are salted.
Go Rhino's Limited Lifetime Structural Warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product when it is installed per the instructions, and the Limited 5-Year Finish Warranty covers the original owner against red rust, peeling, flaking or cracking for five years from purchase.

Nice looking running boards easy to install
Looks great feels secure. I'm happy and they work as a step and to stop others from jamming their doors from into my vehicle.
Great running boards, and very easy to install.
Everything about them is amazing
I like the fitment of the step bars, the look sharp on my 2500
Easy to install solid to use , nice width was concerned might be to wide with stock wheel tire set up turned out nice .
Well made product, easy to install
Super happy with the look of these on my 2500. Installation wasn't bad, not a lot of information about it online so I uploaded a video to YouTube. However one of my center brackets was welded improperly and can't be fixed to the holes in the bottom of the body itself. Given the sturdiness of the brackets and the primary mounting points on the frame, I'm not concerned about strength. But I still might reach out about getting a replacement bracket. I just don't want to pull everything off to replace it LOL. Great running boards though. Very happy with this upgrade.
Really disappointed with the structural quality of the materials used to construct the running boards. Tubing is extremely light for the intended purpose.
Really easy installation and even though they sit in tight to the truck they are perfect in out steps that can help protect the truck
I bought these because they don’t have hangers that go far below the step. The lowest they go is at the actual step level and I couldn’t be happier. Right size to prevent door dings and rugged looking while giving my wife enough of a step to get into the truck. Good grip on step even in rain. My dog can jump up using them as well. Overall very sturdy. Took a little longer to install than others since it has a sliding bracket that is a bit strange but worth it. About 1 hour 30 min to install.
I like the look of these and the install was easy. They look like rock sliders but definitely should not be used as sliders since they don't attach to the frame I like the looks and step functionality though.
As advertised and quality build
Installed my Rhino Dominator D6 running boards in 30 minutes. These are heavy duty strong and a great addition to my 2022 Toyota Trundra and looks fantastic.
Great look on the truck. Won’t hold mud and make cleaning boots off a breeze because of the way the holes are reverse punched. Grippy. Shipped in two boxes each arrived a day apart. Put them on in about 45 minutes.
Solid step bars and good quality with out going full blown rock sliders.
Love them!
Shocked they had Rust in them coming out of the package. Plus side, easy to install, down side they are clearly going to require a lot of upkeep and rust prevention. The ONLY reason I didn’t send them back is that it is extremely inconvenient to do so, and I needed running boards
Our Toyota came with a rock rail installed, but it was just a bit too high for us. The Go Rhino Dominator D6 rubbing board and drop steps make it much easier to get in!
Love these, fit my Ram Rho perfect.
Excellent product. Installed on 2025 4Runner no Problems, Looks Excellent. Ordered another set for 2026 Tundra. Installed, no Problems. Again, Looks Excellent. No issues so far (2 months 4Runner and 1 month Tundra). Helps with entry and exit of vehicles.
I’ve gone threw 3 other other options only to land on these!
I couldn't decide on nerf bars or running boards but these combine the features of both. They look great and protect the side panels of my truck.
Great running boards low profile
First, the shipping on these running boards was ridiculously fast. The install was straightforward and simple, and they look great on my truck. Couldn't be happier.
Install was easy, with the only issue being on of the boards had a mid cut hole for the bracket so I had to hammer it to get it to drop in. An extra set of hands isn’t necessary but helps when trying to set them level.
Fits good, easy install
The install took a few minutes, but not bad. Great quality and look excellent on my Silverado.
Very nice, only change would be that all bolt should be black.
I want to start off with how I love the look of the boards and how well it goes with my Silverado. There are some pro’s and con’s I want to share to help others out there with their investment. PRO’S - The product is lightweight and very stylish for my truck. - Mounting brackets to the truck chassis was strait forward and easy mount (All 6 in about 10 minutes) - Ample foot print area when mounting and dismounting the vehicle. CON’s - The bracket that is inserted into the boards and mounts to the bracket attached to the frame a nightmare. When trying to mount is flops around like a fish on land. - The instructions were not clear on how the whole assembly should be and the pictures had no orientation. - Unless you use a second person, you will have to be crafty on how to stabilize the board so you can mount the running boards. - Need a hammer to tap the bracket into the running board…
I'm very happy with this Go Rhino product. It is truly a well made, heavy duty product. They look great and are engineered so that you won't slip in rain or snow conditions. I will likely buy additional products because of how sturdy these are.
Simple install and strong!
Never have I slipped of these steps, also they sit very close to the cab while still being useful as a step which is exactly what I wanted. Install took less than an hour.
Very nice and look great. It’s too bad that I received the running boards in a week then had to wait 2 more weeks to receive the hardware to install them. Honestly if I would have known that upfront I would have ordered from somewhere else.
Really like these. These look great and are very solidly built. I am not a diy guy at all and I managed to install these by myself in about 2 hours. Would have been much easier with a second person. I would recommend.
Looks great! I did not install them so I can’t comment on ease of installation.
fit very well, only took few minutes to install
These running boards were of good quality and they make my toyota look awesome
If you want a rock solid pair of boards that don’t hang low and look dumb then these are the boards for you
So far so good. Work well and look great. Bought these to replace the NFAB steps that hung down to far. I like that these mount close to the body and don’t sacrifice a lot of ground clearance on my stock height truck. Seem a lot beefier than the NFabs too. Install is pretty strait forward. Only thing I had to swap the center mounting brackets(driver side bracket to passenger)from what the directions said as the holes for the pinch weld lined up better. Not a big deal though.
Fit great and look good
The running boards seem very sturdy when stepping in and out of the truck. The quality of the finish needs to be addressed. The surface was not prepped correctly for the coating to adhere to. When unboxed they already had flaking where the brackets attach. Also since putting a few hundred miles on them gravel have put chips in the coating down to the substrate up to half inch wide.
After 13,000 miles with these Rhino D6 boards, still love them. Sit high and tight to the cab, but low and wide enough to fully functional. Look way better than the slabs hanging lower, just waiting to hang up on trail and rip loose. Would highly recommend these if you’re looking for functional but not obtrusive steps.
Ordered these for my '22 Silverado ZR2 and the installation was easy. After getting the first one on (took me approx. 45min because I'm stubborn with directions), the second one took me half the time. Very sturdy, maintains the high clearance and looks great. Already have gotten many compliments. NOTE! Running boards and installation parts may ship separately. This happened to me but wasn't mentioned in any emails. Luckily I received them the next day.
D6 boards are heavy duty and look great on my 2018 Tacoma. They give good ground clearance for off road and protect against door dings in parking lots.
Looks great easily installed
Look great! Mounting wasn't perfect but with 3 people we were able to get mounted and tight.
Good quality. Wife loves it!!!
(JLU 2018 Rubicon) I love the look and product, however the install was miserable. The instructions were off, the washers on the under bracket don’t have enough clearance and brackets not come labeled (front two) are longer. MOST IMPORTANTLY: the brackets have a sliding insert that is impossible to install without a thin trim tool. Definitely need two people to finish the install. I used YouTube to help figure out how to hold side steps in place (used buckets and towels) as I attached them ti the slide in brackets. This installation should be 1hr 30 min. Took me 4hrs and a stiff neck.
I searched long and hard to pick out new running boards for my 2012 Ram 1500. These looked nice and stated that I drilling was required to fit my truck. Once FedEx finally delivered the hardware, I realized there were some issues: 1) the pinch weld on my truck is not pre-drilled for the mounts 2) the hardware was sturdy looking, but the paint was very poor with shiny spots of exposed metal showing on most pieces making me concerned about rust in the future 3) mounting hardware that slid inside the running boards had holes that didn’t align with slots in the board 4) no installation instructions were provided, only a tiny packing list in Spanish. I’m going to try to send these back and start my search over.
Boards looks good overall, but the package contained the incorrect hardware kit for the application (and what was specified in the instructions). Disappointing to spend this much on a product and then run to the hardware store to purchase the correct hardware to complete the installation.
Durable product and they look great once installed but. . . installation nightmare! Install videos portrayed a seamlessly simple fast install but in real life, not so much. Unless you have plenty of time and patience, have your dealer do the install. Again, the finished product is awesome and my wife loves them. My swear jar runneth over!
They were a pain to put on especially without instructions. One is in clear packaging the otherside in green but no clear instruction as to which side is what. Also the installation is a pain with out some buckets or jack stands. Even still they are what they are. Pretty heavy thats all ill really give them. The plasti dip was chipped when I got them out and scratched up. I would definitely install the brackets to the Channel loosely first, so you can slide them forward or back. Then install the whole thing to the truck then go back and tighten everything down. Or else lining them up while lying under the truck is a pain.
I ordered the Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D6 Side Step Bars (Textured Black) and was excited to install them—unfortunately, that never happened. The nut plates included in the package were too large and simply didn’t fit. I reached out to customer support, hoping for a quick fix. They sent out “replacements”… only for them to be the exact same incorrect parts. At this point, I still can’t install the steps, and it’s beyond frustrating. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to send the correct hardware the first time—or at least correct the issue when it's brought to their attention. Now I’m stuck wasting time and energy returning a product I can’t even use. Really disappointed with the quality control and customer service on this one.
The look and sturdiness is what i was looking for. Plenty of foot space to get in and out of the truck. (2022 Chevy 2500). So far so good. PA winters are harsh on aftermarket accessories. We shall see how they hold up
The only reason I didn’t give a 5 star review is that the boards are a little wide making it hard to get in my Tacoma without stepping on them and it’s lifted so the step is high to reach. More the trucks fault than the board but it would be nice if they weren’t as wide. Other than that great product.
Purchased these in 2022 great step, but the passenger side rusted through the other side is still fine
No visible brackets and wide platform for donning boots. Too wide for stock height suspension SR5 tacoma on exit.
Install was a bit of a pain.If you are replace your old running boards keep the screws and U clips. Mounting hardware does not include screws and the U clips the provided are trash. Had to grind into the split weld of the truck to mount. Took me about 45 minutes by myself to install both after figured what to do. Used all pneumatic tools so this saved lots of time. Over all I like the look but thought it was priced high for what it was.
Over all I’m impressed with these steps for the price. On a 5th gen Ram 1500 there are no brackets hanging down to get hung up on obstacles. Brackets a 1/4 and gusseted. Steps are thin and will not withstand off-road abuse but that’s not what I bought them for. My only complaint is they went cheap on the end caps. They are just plastic held in with 2 screws and an easy place for water to get trapped. I feel they should have welded end caps for long term reliability. Other than that they are great.
Sure made it easier getting in and out of new Ram 2500. Look good and the no slip material is a big plus!
The running boards look great they are not as sturdy as I would have liked. I did not get my free carry case with the running boards as advertised.
Looks nice the body structure feels solid great for getting in and out of the cab and loading kids in and out. I don't do extreme offroad rock climbing so this works for me from off pavement dirt road to some hard rocks to the sandy beach. I believe it stated that these running boards can be use for rock sliders. I might disagree with my humble opinion I am not an engineer because this package comes with 2 units boards and brackets detached and has to be put together. After I installed the boards onto my tundra upon testing the weight capacity I notice a slight bend or movement to the boards not much to get me worried but would be better if the boards came with 4 brackets instead of 3 brackets just to give a peace of mind. Hey if any staff members reading this if you can send me 2 brackets and hardware to complete the board that would greatly be appreciated. The 2022 tundra has 4…
These sit very tight to the pinch welds and don't hang down at all, they also don't have mounting brackets so you get very good ground clearance. They don't stick out past the tires if you are running offset wheels or wheel spacers.
I purchased these steps because I liked the tough look and because they were up close/tight to the rocker panel. I didn’t want a step that hung too low. First time ever installing steps, and overall it wasn’t too bad. I did the whole install by myself. The steps are pretty heavy and feel to be good quality. First things first, clean the paint off of the studs. I used a tap and die set (M8x1.25). First time doing this too. Be patient, and have some good music playing! It is a slow and tedious process, but you will cross thread your studs if you don’t clean the paint off first. I don’t have a lift to put the truck up high so I found it easier to install the support brackets to the step first then put everything onto the studs on the inside of the rocker panel. Leave everything loose (brackets on steps and support brackets on studs) so you can adjust step as needed. Tighten down and you…
the steps look great on my trailboss. low profile. The steps are hard to install by yourself. the mounting brackets are easy to do to, but when it comes to trying to hold the steps up and also hold on to the inside bracket and install the bolts is rather difficult. ended using a small C clamp to keep the bracket in place. Also you may need to run the bolts thru the slide in brackets before installing them inside the step, mine were full of power coating. It took one month to get these, dont know why. Over all, great step.
Final product looks great. It's pretty sturdy. Only downfall is it was a pain to install.
