Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D2 Side Steps: Person in jeans and work boots stepping on a black drop step below an open silver truck door

A lower first step

Dominator Xtreme D2 side steps drop a welded hoop step below each door, so the first step into a lifted vehicle or tall SUV is closer to the ground. The one-piece main bar keeps a clean, OE-style line along the cab.

Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D2 Side Steps: Set of black steel mounting brackets, flat plates and hardware bags laid out on white

Hex-Tread pads you can paint

Each hoop holds a 4" wide galvanized steel pad with hex-stamped tread for footing in mud and rain. The pads are removable, so they can be painted to match the vehicle.

Go Rhino Dominator Xtreme D2 Side Steps: Pair of black tube side steps with two drop steps each and loose step pads on white

Two layers against rust

The steel is zinc plated and then finished in a textured black powder coat. A Dominator Xtreme mount kit bolts the steps to the rocker panel.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

How do I find the right part number?

Each listing is made for specific vehicles and cabs, and the fit table lists them with any exclusions, such as diesel-engine versions of certain vehicles. Match your vehicle, cab and any noted equipment before ordering.

What is a drop step?

The D2 has hoops welded to the main bar that drop down below the doors. The step pad sits in the hoop, lower than the bar, which makes the first step into a tall vehicle easier.

Can I paint the step pads?

Yes. The 4" galvanized steel pads are removable and Go Rhino describes them as paintable, so you can color-match or contrast them.

Do I have to drill?

Most applications bolt to factory holes in the rocker panel. Some vehicles need small holes drilled or enlarged, and the guide for your part number shows when.

How do I keep them looking good?

Wash with mild soap and water, dry them afterward and avoid abrasive cleaners or polishing compounds. A non-abrasive wax helps, and re-check the bolts every six months.

What warranty comes with the D2?

A limited lifetime structural warranty plus 5 years on the finish for the original owner. Returns under warranty need an RGA number.
