Low front three-quarter of a black lifted Ford Super Duty with steel front bumper and three round lights on a desert flat.

Adjustable height for Super Duty

An ICON coilover conversion swaps the Super Duty's front springs and shocks for 2.5 Series remote reservoir coilovers, turning a fixed front lift into one the owner can set. The truck gains room for larger tires and a ride that handles towing, job sites and washboard roads. Staged kits let the front end grow with the truck.

Coilovers in the factory buckets

The coilovers mount in the factory coil bucket location, with FK rod end bearings and a remote reservoir that keeps the oil cool through long rough stretches. They are fully rebuildable and re-valvable. Where ICON's instructions call for removing the coil centering cup, that step is noted on the listing.

Plan the install and setup

ICON recommends a professional shop for the installation, followed by a professional alignment. Late-model trucks need a driver-assist recalibration, and trucks with OnBoard Scales may read less accurately after the rear spring change. Parts some trucks also need, such as a track bar bracket or a brake line kit, are listed under Also required.

Frequently Asked Questions

Straight answers on specs, fit and support

Can I adjust the ride height after installation?

Yes, within the listed range. The front ride height is set on the threaded coilover body, and ICON quotes the range for a stock-equipped truck, so bumpers, winches and other added weight change where it settles.

Does the install require cutting?

On many of these trucks, yes. The coil centering cup inside the factory coil bucket has to be removed before the coilover fits, and the listing notes it where it applies. ICON recommends a professional shop for the installation.

Which stage should I choose?

ICON positions the entry stage for on-road driving, towing and mild off-road use such as job sites and washboard gravel roads. Higher stages add parts such as a track bar, stabilizer, radius arms or adjustable valving for more aggressive off-road driving, and the Kit contents table shows what each adds.

What tire size can I run?

ICON recommends a 35" or 37" tire for each system depending on its lift, as listed in the Specifications. Larger tires can fit but need fender trimming and modifications.

Does it affect ADAS or OnBoard Scales?

Late-model Super Duty trucks need their driver-assist systems recalibrated after the install. On trucks with OnBoard Scales, the change in rear spring rate can reduce scale accuracy, and trucks with OnBoard Scales or Dynamic Bending Headlamps may need an extra bracket listed under Also required.

Will it fit a cab and chassis or dually truck?

ICON notes that many of these systems do not fit F-350 or F-450 cab and chassis models, and some fit single rear wheel trucks only. Check the fitment notes on the listing for your truck before ordering.
