Features

  • Two-finger CYNC latch: Opening the cover takes a two-finger pinch on LEER's patented CYNC latch at the tailgate end, and it works from either side of the bed. Whichever side you walk up on, you can get into the bed without reaching across.
  • Self-tensioning frame: The frame under the Latitude tensions itself, so the vinyl stays pulled tight across all three panels without you adjusting it. Once it is shut, LEER's adjustable cover buckles, with security buckles as a backup, keep the cover pinned to the frame.
  • Reinforced commercial-grade vinyl: LEER double-coats a reinforced, commercial-grade vinyl and backs it with a flexible cross-weave fabric. To keep it looking right, wash it with mild soap and water only: LEER says abrasive pads and harsh cleaners can dull the finish.
  • Rounded, double-stitched corners: Every corner is rounded, reinforced and double stitched, which gives the cover a fitted look on the bed. LEER builds the corners so they will not fold up.
  • Beveled edges and perimeter seals: Beveled edges are shaped to let rain run off, and cushioned seals with fabric extensions ring the perimeter to keep the cover snug against the bed. The Latitude also closes with the tailgate up or down.
  • No-drill clamp-on fit: The cover clamps to the bed rails with front twist-knob clamps and rear clamps, and nothing gets drilled. LEER says one person can put the Latitude on or take it off the truck.

Description & Fitment

LEER's Latitude folds in three panels: double-coated, reinforced vinyl with a cross-weave backing, held taut by a self-tensioning frame, with corners rounded and double stitched and cushioned seals around the edge. Two fingers on the CYNC latch open it from either side, it folds toward the cab when you need the bed, and it clamps on without drilling. LEER makes a version for each truck and bed length, each backed by LEER's limited lifetime warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which trucks does the Latitude cover?

LEER builds Latitude versions for the Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra (1500 and 2500 HD/3500 HD), Colorado and Canyon, Ford F-150, Super Duty, Ranger and Maverick, Ram 1500 and 2500/3500 and older Dodge trucks, Nissan Frontier and Titan, and Toyota Tacoma and Tundra. Each version page lists its exact years and bed.

How do I pick the right version?

Match your model year, truck and bed length to one version, then check its notes for bed rail systems such as Utili-track or the deck rail, and for tailgate notes.

Is the Latitude waterproof?

LEER bevels the edges so rain runs off, and the perimeter seals are cushioned, with fabric extensions, to sit tight against the bed. It is not sold as waterproof, so wrap anything that must stay completely dry.

Does the tailgate have to be up to close the cover?

No. LEER says the Latitude shuts over the bed whether the tailgate is up or down, which helps when a long load hangs past the tailgate.

Can I haul cargo taller than the bed sides?

Not under the closed cover: LEER's warranty excludes a panel hinge bent too far, which usually comes from tall cargo under a closed cover. For travel with the cover open, LEER's manual shows the cover folded all the way forward with the two middle-section straps hooked to the clips on the front rail, and it says never to drive with the cover partly open.

Do I have to drill the bed rails to fit it?

No. The Latitude clamps to the bed rails with no drilling. The hardware package has 2 rear clamp assemblies, 2 front twist-knob clamp assemblies and the 2.5mm and 5mm Allen wrenches.

Installation

TypeClamps to the bed rails, no drilling
What's involvedThe folded cover is set at the cab end and unfolded into alignment, then held by hand-tightened front clamps under the bed rail flanges and rear clamps that carry the CYNC latch strike plate
Tools
  • 2.5mm Allen wrench
  • 5mm Allen wrench

Here's the short version. Follow LEER's install sheet (below) for the exact positions and hardware.

  1. Wash the truck bed if dirty, set the folded cover over the cab end of the bed, then unfold it and adjust its position for proper cab-to-tailgate alignment.
  2. Line the cover up at the front and side to side, then carefully refold it without shifting its position on the bed.
  3. Anchor the front panel and fit the secondary clamps with security buckles: choose the insert that best aligns the clamp to the bed side, position the clamp under the bed-wall flange (or on the bracket assembly), hand-tighten until it contacts the rail, then two more turns.
  4. With the front clamps secure, close the cover completely. Place each rear clamp under the bed rail, hand-tighten the flower nut until contact, then tighten both 5mm Allen screws (the flower nut may then be removed and kept).
  5. Adjust the strike plate and the CYNC latch one side at a time: loosen both set screws, slide the catch to touch the striker plate (add a wrench width of clearance if the cover closes too hard), tighten the latch-guide set screw, pull the inner latch until it has tension and tighten its set screw; repeat on the other side.
  6. Before driving, the cover must be completely flat and secured with all clamps fastened; never drive with the cover partly open.

Warranty, shipping & returns

  • Warranty

The Latitude carries LEER's Limited Lifetime Warranty: LEER promises the cover is free of material and workmanship defects, and the coverage lasts as long as the original purchaser keeps it on the original truck.
    • Who and where: the original retail purchaser only, on the original owner's truck. The warranty is not transferable.
    • Conditions: the cover must be properly installed and not modified, and LEER asks for the original sales receipt as proof of purchase.
    • Remedy: LEER repairs or replaces a cover that proves defective, at its sole discretion.
    • Not covered: damage caused by accidents, neglect or abuse, by inappropriate use or a faulty install, or by acts of God; a cover lost off the truck to wind or while driving (checking the clamps before you drive is the owner's job); paint damage to the truck; damage from careless unpacking, such as opening the carton with a box cutter; a panel hinge bent too far, usually from hauling cargo taller than the bed sides with the cover closed; use outside the cover's specifications or intended application; installing or operating it against the manual; and consequential damage, including to cargo or the truck bed.
    • Shipping damage: LEER excludes damage caused by a parcel carrier in transit, so tell us right away and we will file the claim with the carrier.
    • Care: clean with mild soap and water only. LEER says chemicals and harsh fluids can damage the vinyl and seals and void the warranty.
    • Registration: LEER's manual says the cover must be registered for the warranty to be valid. Contact us and we will help you register it.
    • To start a claim, contact us with your order number and photos and we will take it up with LEER for you.
