Fits the same truck
Stainless steel under every step
The 3" main tube is stainless steel, fully welded as one piece, so corrosion resistance lives in the metal and not in the coating alone. Polished stainless carries a lifetime finish warranty, and textured black a 5-year finish term.
Covered from wheel to wheel
Because the bar spans from the front wheel opening to the rear, the rocker panels and lower bedside sit behind stainless steel. Stones, curb strikes and trail debris hit the tube before they can reach the paint.
Reach into the bed easily
A third step at the bedside puts gear near the front of the bed, and the contents of a crossover toolbox, within reach from the ground. One install on the same bar covers getting into the cab and into the bed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Straight answers on specs, fit and support
Do I have to drill into my truck to install these?
No. None of the Podium Bed Access install guides for the applications we list calls for drilling; the brackets bolt to factory mounting points at the rocker panel with the hardware in the box. The kit is matched to one cab and bed length, so choose your exact truck before ordering.
Will these fit any bed length?
No. Because the bar runs wheel to wheel, its length is set by the cab and the bed together, and each part is built for one bed length. The Fitment section of each listing names the cab and bed it fits, and a bar made for one bed length will not span another.
What is the third step for?
It sits at the bedside, behind the cab steps, so you can reach gear near the front of the bed or in a crossover toolbox without climbing onto a tire or leaning over the rail from the ground. The two cab steps work the same way as on the cab length Podium.
Will the finish hold up to road salt?
The structure under the finish is stainless steel, so corrosion resistance is in the metal as well as in the coating, and the textured black powder coat carries a 5-year finish warranty. Powder coat can still chip from stone strikes, so rinse the bars through winter. If you drive in a salt state and polished stainless is offered for your truck, choose it: it has no coating to chip and carries a lifetime finish warranty. No finish is immune to corrosion, and we will not claim otherwise.
Is there a weight rating for these steps?
N-Fab does not publish a load rating for the Podium Bed Access, so we do not quote one. The bar is a one-piece, fully welded 3" stainless tube with enclosed step plates, built to be stood on at every step.
Will these work on a lifted truck?
Yes. The drop steps hang below the main tube, which keeps a practical step height on stock and lifted trucks, and the brackets mount to the body rather than the suspension, so a lift does not change how they fit. On a tall lift the climb from the step to the floor is still bigger than stock.
